As this pie was heating in the microwave, a seriously attractive aroma drifted towards my nasal passages. Something like you would see on a TV ad where the guy smells something delicious and floats on the aroma right into the store.
I must say I had never come across a chilli beef pie, let alone a Chilli Beef and Cheese pie. though, unfortunately there was very little cheese. tucked into a small corner, which was a big let down. The Chili was almost perfect, a little more prominent than I fancied, but bearable.
The pastry, as I have discovered with all Maketu pies I've had the honor of consuming, is almost perfect, even when heated in the microwave. Not gluggy as some pastries get.
Average value for money on this one. not really cheap, but you'd probably pay up to $5 at a cafe for it, so I won't complain too loudly.
Overall, a slightly dissappointing product, but not enough to put me off.
