I found this choice rather surprising - because expresso is served sans milk, and so to have an expresso milkshake seems to be a bit of a misnomer. maybe I am the only one pedantic enough to spot this - or even comment on it.
The flavour (to a non-coffee drinker) was strong, definite and pronounced, and I wondered if perhaps this one should be served with a glass of iced water rather than milk, which perhaps, would give a more authentic expresso taste.
From my point of view, as someone who prefers a dairy-free diet, these straws worked exceedingly well with rice milk; and because the product is dairy-free and almost a hypoallergenic formula I would have no hesitation in recommending these products to both people with allergies and to the vegetarian and vegan societies as a treat for their kids or themselves. I tried this product with rice milk only, believing soy milk to have a taste that would mask the taste of the product.
I guess devout caffeine addicts would not resist this flavour; however for me, I think I would rather stick to something a little more traditional to stick in my rice milk.
After a few teething problems (see Cappucino) I got a nice balance of flavour and no milk left over afterward, although I did discover that rate of suction really does make a difference to flavour intensity. I found the straws to be a little bulkier than I liked, but the tastiness really outweighed any issues :)
These straws are a fantastic way of having a milk drink wherever, without the hassle of carrying perishable milk around with you. It was so handy for me to take one to work, pour myself a glass of milk and drink it through a flavoured straw - voila! Flavoured milk!
I found Espresso to be a fantastic flavour, really rich coffee without being overpowering. Wouldn't recommend to non-coffee drinkers! I did have an issue with this one - isn't Espresso normally milk-less? Sort of ended up just tasting like really strong coffee... still liked it though :)
Whilst not my most favourite coffee flavoured straw I still found it an okay drink after the first few sips and the taste had settled down somewhat. So while the taste does let this one down in this case, I still have to give it high points for the effectiveness, as it does do a very good job of what it's designed to do. And whilst a price hasn't been listed for this product at the time of writing i'm sure it will be good value for money.
I LOVE coffee, even iced coffee. This item has stuff that kinda looks like and smells like coffee, but that is where I felt the similarity ended. The taste reminded me of cheap instant coffee with too much milk, not enough sugar.
I enjoyed the product's ease of use and simplicity of design. The straws are just plain dinky.
As usual with these milk flavouring straw, the product was quick and easy to use, and even easier to consume.
This was without a doubt coffee flavoured, though the expresso bit is questionable.
It tasted more like a cheap out-of -the-packet instant coffee. but, that may be the coffee addict inside of me.
Not quite sure on the caffeine level in this product, but it was enough to satisfy my cravings temporarily.
