An Almodovar jet-black comedy set in a rundown Madrid convent where the unconventional nuns write soft porn, get high and design fantastic evening wear! Yolanda Bell, a singer in a seedy nightclub and heroin addict, has herself committed to a charity convent where she is to find out about the nuns' weirdest addictions.
NOTE: Audio is in Spanish, with English subtitles.

Talk about wierd movies! Even discounting the cultural differences, this movie is wierd with a capital WTF! I was howling with laughter at some of the antics, especially those of the good Sister Manure, the acid-tripping convent cook with a penchant for impulsive self-mortification and Holy Visions.
Though the movie is in Spanish, it does come with a good set of English subtitles, however that can sometimes prove a little distracting in places, where there is a lot of key visual cues to pay attention to. Despite that, the movie is still a great watch, with some really unexpected twists and a heart warming ending.
Overall, though the devout amongst you will undoubtedly find this movie totally irreverent and morally objectionable in places, I don't think anyone would find it totally unappealing. If nothing else, there is a great sublayer of social commentary hidden under the storyline, as contorted as it is. Una pel?cula muy excelente!
