It has been a long road for Liquid Media, from it's humble early conception as 'Focus', itself built upon an older system... and so on back to the Amiga days. But now, in it's current format, I can not help but compare it to the characters off Dragonball-Z of all things... that is to say, even as an infant it was incredibly powerful, and it has grown in strength as it has grown in age, and now seems nigh unstoppable.

Now, it is an institution among MultiMedia packages, with all the very best bits from such heavyhitters such as Director, Flash, Powerpoint, Premiere and iPlay, rolled into one smooth and intuitive interface. Even it's closest rival, Director MX is lacking features readily available in Liquid Media. This ensures it leads the pack.

It took me less than 2 minutes to make a basic presentation, test it, tweak it, then export it as a screensaver. After installation on the test machine, the screensaver performed wonderfully. I thought "that's not bad for a beginner" and proceeded to experiement... the ability to include 3d objects, interactive menus, self-playing movies with scene controls... a world of opportunity indeed. (NOTE: You can read a full comparison chart HERE.)

And the best bit... it's made right here in New Zealand. What could be better, eh? :)

Well, there is something better actually... it is FREE to download and install from www.liquidmedia.net, where you will also find more samples and examples, add-ons, clip-art, special effects, fades and wipes, templates, alphamaps, all sorts of extra goodies, all freely available too.
