This is a great deck really, with all the usual info on each character on the card for those curious enough to want to know. Because I wasn't a great fan of the movie, this wouldn't have been my first choice from the range of decks available but that hasn't stopped it from being a great game.
The artwork is stunning and the layout is actually quite excellent. The fonts are easy to read yet ornate enough to fit the theme, the placement of images, stats and texts is very pleasing to the eye, and I loved the goldfoilled names, really stunning results. As my son commented, "...the case is nice and sparkly, like a snowglobe..." which is a wonderful design element. It's great how the cases aren't just stamped out all the same. It makes the decks easy to select from a stack or box of decks.
Overall, another winner from Top Trumps, just not my cuppa tea. If you enjoyed the movie, you'll LOVE these.
One of my favourite movies now made into my new favourite card game. Great designs, wonderful photos, all adds up to another brilliant winner. I'll be playing this one for a while with my daughter.
The rich and vibrant illustrations of these cards accompany the release of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe using excellent still photography of some of the characters mentioned in the book and the film. I was a little surprised to see the children appear twice in the pack, both as 'the children' and as their 'royal' selves, but in the context, it does make some sense to compare both aspects of the children.
Each card is accompanied by a short description of the person or character involved, and is rated on various skills. The card is elegantly foil printed with accents of gold which add to the delicate beauty of the cards.
The Narnia is a beautiful and elegant edition and a must for every collector.
