Our family tries very hard to be aware of our environmental footprint, so anything that helps ensure a cleaner greener world with less waste is a win in our books. With this in mind I was keen to give this product a try, I read the instructions that were very easy to follow, add water then a tablet. But I did deviate a little by putting warm water in my bottle, as I feel strongly that more germs are killed with warm water rather than cold. I opened the packaging for the tablet, and I had difficulty getting the tablet out. I eventually placed the tablet on top of the bottle and banged the plastic surrounding it until it fell into the bottle. Reading other reviews no one else seemed to have this challenge so perhaps this was the exception rather than the rule?

There was an immediate reaction as the tablet hit the water it bubbled, and separated, the colour of the water turned slightly pink and there were granules on the bottom, I gave it a quick shake, and it was all mixed in and there was a lovely smell coming from the bottle. Hubby walked in and went mmm pine, so it got a tick from both of us in the fragrance department.

The kitchen was due for its weekly scrub down, and last night miss teen had cooked pasta so there was baked on tomatoes everywhere and then pancakes for breakfast, so there were plenty of challenges for my cleaner to tackle. I sprayed it all on and left it for thirty seconds, before giving it a quick wipe, 95 % of the mess came of immediately and I was very impressed by the shine on my stainless appliances. I still had the kettle out, one of those cream coloured kmart jobs, so I gave it a spray and a wipe down and it too came up beautifully. Next was my eggshell white cupboards, these can be hell to clean as any fluff or residue from cleaners show up, but again with a microfiber cloth and a spray of the ecoturturtles cleaner they came up looking shiny and clean.
I also have to admit when I used it later in the week for a quick kitchen wipe down it worked just as well cold as it did warm. I will purchase a refill for this, and give the other products in the range a try.

I was very excited to have the opportunity to review this product. I love finding new ways to reduce my environmental impact and this reusable bottle, tablet style of cleaning products is a serious game changer! Super cool and equally handy. The tablets come in a small recyclable cardboard sleeve and take up very little space in the cleaning cupboard so extremely handy and a great price too.

I had previously tried the floor cleaner and it had taken a while to dissolve so this time I decided to try slightly warm water in my bottle. The temperature made a huge difference and this one dissolved a lot quicker. I like quick as I'm often in a hurry and super impatient. Once dissolved I got to work in my kitchen to see how well this actually cuts through grease!

I find my range hood over the oven gets a super greasy film and is such a pain to clean so I tried the cleaner on this. I sprayed the solution on and wiped off with my cloth, a lot of the grease just wiped off but there was some I needed to put a bit more elbow into. Once completely clean the range hood was whiter than it ever has been. I have also found it super handy for wiping down the oven top and benches.

This particular cleaner does not have much of a fragrance but it does the job so that's the most important thing. I loved how it made quick work of cutting through grease and is easy to make up and use. The bottles are super sturdy and the trigger is easy to use with a handy lock close position. I am definitely sold on the refill system and will be buying these again!

Having used two of the products in this range already, I was prepared for the mix-and-wait process for the tablet to dissolve. However, I was not as well organised as I thought I was. I filled the bottle with water, added the tablet, then went away to do something else. Half an hour later I came back and screwed the spray lid in place, lifting the bottle so I could attack the mess some of the young ones had left on a surface. My hands were a bit sticky from the other job (nothing like multitasking) but I thought it would not matter as I was going from one mucky job to another anyway...

And... the bottle slid out of my hands, crashed to the floor, and went rolling behind a chair. I rushed to right the bottle before all the contents could pour out, and managed to save about three-quarters of the liquid, but the lid had parted company during the fall. Immediately I thought I had broken the spray mechanism before I had so much as used the product. However, it looked like a clean break, so I checked it just in case. And I was amazed to find that the lid is actually designed to come apart, and clicks back into place as if it had always been there. Lesson learned! The bottles really are built to last, and won't fall apart at the first mishap. For me that is a huge point in their favour.

The surface I was to clean, once I had sorted out the bottle, was the stovetop which had been the victim of some late night cooking. Two of our boys and three of their friends had been to the school ball and returned home late with an attack of the munchies. At 3 am they had organised a fry-up, and although they were not too tired to cook and eat it, cleaning up after themselves was just too challenging. I could have left it for them to fix later when they finally surfaced, but I wanted to try out the new product and did not think I could face looking at the mess any longer. So I set to work. I sprayed some of the product on and wiped it off. Nothing happened.

I thought it might be sensible to spray it on again and wait a bit to let the cleaner soak in. Ten minutes after I had sprayed, I found the debris and grease lifted up easily, leaving the surface underneath 95% clean. Success! I treated the whole stove-top and was really pleased with the way it worked. After I had finished, I did a second clean to get rid of the odd little specks, and this time the surface was restored to its usual state. It was great to see because I have two cats and one of them is badly behaved - she jumps on to surfaces that she should know are out of bounds in case there are any tasty crumbs. I am aware that some cleaners are toxic to cats, and licking their paws to clean them can potentially be fatal, so having a safe product is important.

I went on to try the cleaner on several other surfaces - cupboard door handles, the microwave, and the freezer door among others. The key to success is to wait. The longer the dirt has been there, the longer the spray needs to become active. And if it is really bad, a second application finishes the job. Best of all, even after spilling part of the contents and completing several different cleaning jobs, I still have over half a bottle left.

My partner and I are pretty clean people, but we are also pretty busy. So we end up swinging from one side of the spectrum to the other quite often, wanting high levels of cleanliness after "allowing" a level of scum to build up. For example, while we will clean the countertops in our kitchen and wipe the stovetop after every use, the oven may only get cleaned out once every couple of months. It means we have a fair amount of stubborn build-up stuck on our oven doors and oven base.

Being environmentally conscious, I was interested in trying this environmentally-friendly degreaser (I'm always on the lookout for effective cleaners, but an effective environmentally-friendly one would be even better). I like the idea of it all. A reusable bottle that you can use again and again, and you only have to buy a small tablet that comes in a mostly-recyclable cardboard packet.

The product is quite easy to set up and you simply fill the bottle with water and pop in the tablet. The tablet is just small enough to fit in the mouth of the bottle (good designing there). Now, it's important to let the tablet fully dissolve and it's not exactly a short process. I would recommend waiting at least half an hour. If you haven't let the tablet fully dissolve before putting the top on, any gases released will cause the bottles to slowly release cleaner while it just sits there, soaking the surface and wasting cleaner.

I was quite surprised by the colour of the cleaner. Considering the bottle is a reusable bottle that is identical to the other cleaners, and it has a colour code of what colour is what cleaner (orange=degreaser) I was expecting a strong orange colour that would match the intensity of the tablet and make the solution easy to identify. Unfortunately, once it was fully dissolved the water was almost clear with slight yellowing. Nothing really identifiable.

I decided to give the product a try on the oven door that had a bit of build-up. The first attempt at determining the efficacy of the product was to spray it on and instantly wipe it off with a soft cloth. Nothing. The second attempt involved spraying the product, leaving it on the surface for a while before wiping it off with a more abrasive paper towel. Minimal results. In the end, I had to use a lot of elbow grease and a very abrasive scotch pad to remove the build-up, with the degreaser having little to no effect on the cleaning process at all.

While we wipe down the stovetop every day, there was a sticky build-up of grease around the outside which has been there for a long time. I have yet to find a product that will actually remove the grease, and this product certainly made no effect on this grease patch either.

Ultimately, the product is not fit-for-purpose in my household. Unless I have literally just spilled something within the last minute, the cleaner doesn't have the ability to properly lift any sort of stubborn stain or grease patches. I love the idea, but clearly, this eco-friendly chemical isn't effective. Considering the price of the tablet far exceeds the cost of the other effective cleaners that include bottles, I'm not impressed. Eco-friendly, Affordable, and Effective. Out of those areas, you need at least two of them, but this product only manages one.

My stovetop gets very oily and greasy thanks to three kids who havenâ ™t quite learned how to stir dinner without flicking food out of the pan and onto the top of the oven. As a result we end up with quite a mess needing to be cleaned up each time. I do also have a fourteen year old who loves their milk miloâ ™s and uses the stovetop as a bench, so we end up with a bit of a sticky mess on there as well. So as you can imagine, Iâ ™m needing to clean the oven quite often and it doesnâ ™t always end up looking nice afterwards, no matter what I use. However Iâ ™m always open to trying something new and am pleased I got this to try out.

Whilst the bottle feels nice and sturdy, thereâ ™s no way identify what contents it holds once made up, so I grabbed out my trusty label maker. This was the last bottle I made up, so I knew what to do, however this tablet was very crumbly, on top of being very hard to get out of the packet, and so a few scraps ended up on the bench instead of in the bottle. After a particularly messy dinner prep the night before, I gave the stovetop a good spray and left it for a minute before wiping it down. I was pleasantly surprised for it to not only wipe clean with ease, but left a shine to it. I donâ ™t have a lot of greasy messes to clean up, but I did try this on the inside of the oven door too, and whilst it definitely cleaned up some of the mess, it didnâ ™t take it all off, but Iâ ™ll try it a few more times.

I can see this is a bottle that will last awhile, but when it does run out I imagine I will be getting more.

I am on a bio cycle septic system so have to be really careful with the cleaning products that I use. I can't use bleach or anything that will destroy the 'good bacteria'. The idea of having a refill bottle really appealed to me as I'm all for doing my bit to help the environment.

The bottle is a good size although there were no lines on it (that I could see) to indicate 750ml. I just poured close to the top as per the instructions. When it came to the tablet, I couldn't see a tab to peel the aluminum foil back so decided it must be one of those 'push it though' packets. I thought it would be a good idea to have the tablet over the top of the bottle so it would go straight in... a big mistake. The tablet crumbled and then got stuck as the tablet was the exact size of the bottle opening. I had to pick up the bits that had gone everywhere and push the tablet in the bottle, not a great start. The tablet did start to dissolve and went a nice pale yellow colour. There were parts of the tablet that hadn't dissolved within 10 minutes but I decided to give it a shake and see what happened.

My cooktop does get quite greasy and you can see from the before and after pictures the results. I was very impressed with how quickly, and effortlessly, it cleaned the grease. I thought I would try it on the top of my air fryer and the same, it literally made the grease disintegrate! The refills are a little more expensive than a new bottle of cleaner, but it's a small price to pay for reducing plastic consumption and helping the planet. I will be using these again as I was really pleased with its performance.

Out of all the rooms in the house, I find that our kitchen can get very greasy, especially the dreaded oven and stovetop. I try to wipe down after every time that the stovetop is used, just so there isn't a large buildup of grease and grime. I have 3 young children so would prefer to use cleaning products that are free from nasty chemicals, when I saw the Ecoturtles range advertised I knew I wanted to try them out.

This product is a tablet that you dissolve in a 750ml bottle of water, you wait till it is entirely dissolved and then you use, I decided to target my stovetop after cooking nachos one night, as usually the stovetop gets covered in the red sauce from spitting out of the pan while cooking, this particular night was no different, in fact there had been some of the mix spilt around the element as well.

I was sceptical about whether this product would be strong enough to get rid of this, I turned the nozzle to the spray setting and put a few bursts of the cleaning solution on the desired spots first. To my surprise the grease and grime managed to come away with minimal scrubbing, however I would have loved some kind of fragrance.

This product will last quite a while, as you don't need to spray much to cover a decent size area, the fact that you can buy the tablets means that you can stockpile them in your cupboard without taking up much space. The bottle isn't overly easy to write on unless you have a permanent marker, so I think the company could do something to rectify that to make it easier to distinguish, especially when you have several of the same bottles.

I look forward to seeing what other products they can come up with, and hopefully maybe in the future they can add more fragrance to the tablets. I personally recommend this product for those not wanting to use lots of nasty chemicals in their homes.

I am putting it out there - I was skeptical and did not hold much hope for this degreaser. During lockdown we completely cleaned the kitchen from top to bottom. We even pulled the dishwasher and oven out and gave them a good cleaning also. I had won some 'magic cream' that was suppose to work wonders and I found that it could not remove a lot of the grease around the oven or on the benches down below. No matter how much we scrubbed it just did not remove it. So I thought I would put this to the test and I have to say 'wow' I am impressed.

Making the magic degreaser potion is easy enough - I just filled the water to the top of the sticker. However, when it came time to remove the tablet it was stuck fast. I pushed and pulled and could not get it loose so I used a knife to try and loosen it but unfortunately the tablet broke into a million pieces. Not good - as went all over the table and floor. I scooped as much as the powder that I could get and put in the bottle. The bigger pieces still took a while to dissolve and in the end I just had little chunks all over the base of the bottle that weren't really going anywhere - so I took a gamble and put the top on.

Using the bottle is a breeze just aim and fire. I had one area I really wanted to work on so I gave it a couple of squirts - not really expecting much and was blown away when it wiped away clean. I carried on all around the walls of the oven and it was spotless. The marks just wiped away and where there was a stubborn area I squirted a couple more times and it basically came away with a lot bit of force.

Next I worked on the oven top and the grease just melted away. Even marks that had previously been there seemed to fade. There were still some marks around the grill tops but some had actually disappeared - colour me surprised! I am now wishing I had this a couple weeks back as it is so simple.

This bottle has completely surprised me. I have found with some 'eco' products that they really do not do much and you are paying more for the 'clean green image' then the actual cleaning ability and I really did think this would be similar - but I can hand on heart say this actually works and the grease actually came away. Yes I will definitely be keeping this and buying again in the future.
