I had watched Happy Death Day and enjoyed it so when I saw the trailer for the sequel I was immediately interested in watching it, although I was wondering how they would make a whole entire movie about a character who only appeared for about a minute in the first movie. I settled in to watch the movie and in the beginning it was easy to watch and interesting but I soon realised that it was so far fetched and unbelievable and started to get really confusing. I was watching the movie and I was thinking that it is not as enjoyable as they concentrated heavily on the dimensional travel and formulas to get the machine working properly.
Tree starts off happy that she actually survived her birthday but things soon change when Ryan realises that he is living the same day over again and things get more confusing really fast. Tree then has to realise that things look the same but there are differences and she has to choose her past or what could be her future and yes she does try and have both.
There are new characters and some changes to old characters. I'm sure that they had some fun with this movie, I did watch the extras and the bloopers were rather funny. They ways that Tree dies can be rather funny to watch and how she wakes up at the start of each day as a result of how she died so when she was in a fire she comes back breathing smoke etc. I diddn't really have a favourite character as what we learnt from the first movie was all changed around for this movie, people who were stuck up and horrible were suddenly friends or more in this movie.
Although I was a bit disappointed in how this movie was done it will not stop me from watching a part three if there is one. I do love a good horror but this was more sci-fi than horror or comedy.
