Product reviews...
$5 per box is a little expensive but I buy them for my kids lunches when they are on special, under $3 per box or two for 5 as they only have 6 bars and I have four children at school I usually prefer to get the boxes with 8 bars in them, it then does two days at school.
A great mix of healthy ingredients with the chocolate added for a little treat and extra energy. A really good snack for active children. My four children have them in their lunches and really enjoy them. The oats they include make for extended energy which is good for growing children. I have tried them myself but find them a little too sweet but the kids haven't complained about that and as they are marketed for children would assume the extra sweetness is to get them to eat the oats, cornflakes and rice pops.
A biscuit and muesli bar mix is a great marketing idea and a good way to get kids to eat something healthy as well. We like these bars and would recommend them to anyone with active children looking for something extra to add to their lunch boxes along with the sandwich, fruit and yoghurt.
Griffins stripes biscuits are one of my favourite biscuits. I am not sure why, as they are not really anything unbelievable or amazing lol but I love them. One of those biscuits that were awesome as a kid, and still awesome now lol. And yes just like when I was a kid, I still try to wear them as a ring hahaha So Griffins turned those fun biscuits into a muesli bar.
The biscuit is good, the muesli bar is ok. I am not a huge fan of any of the recreated biscuit muesli bar mixes to be honest. The bars obviously attempt to taste like the biscuit, but alas they do not. And they are just to sweet for me it is as though they had to up the sugar content, in an attempt to hide the muesli bar side of it which is a real shame because I really like muesli bars. They are a really good snack treat to have on hand, especially when in a rush.
My kids, again not huge fans. So we do not really buy them unless they are on special quite cheaply which is rare. The price varies store to store, but generally they are in the $4-$5 price range here in Invercargill. Unsure if that is the recommended rrp or not. The box is easy to open, perforated strip across the top. Even kids can open it without any trouble.
Probably the best thing about these is that the packaging is bright and eye catching lol a muesli bar with choc coated bottom and chocolate stripes on top but sadly not a product for us, just one we are happy to leave sitting on the supermarket shelf.
