We recently discovered that my granddaughter, like many little people, loves music...not only does she love music but she also loves musical instruments. She spent a really long time playing with my daughters acoustic guitar but even longer playing with my daughters home made tin drum kit. However, the home made drum kit, although fine for my 10yo was not at all safe for a toddler. So my sister said she would get her a kiddies drum set, and the VTech KidiBeats set was the one she settled on.
It was first given to my granddaughter at her birthday party, which was a great time for her to get it, as there were toddlers there aged from 1 to 4yrs old, plus some children aged 7 years plus. What a perfect little drum set. One that appealed to all ages, from the youngest, to the oldest (with the oldest people being 40 plus haha). Even before it was turned on the bright colours had caught the eyes of most of the older toddlers and there was a little drama when they were told they had to wait for it to be unpackaged.
Thank fully it was easy to remove from the cardboard packaging, without drama or tears. And there was no putting it together either, so no worries about melt downs because things were taking to long. The biggest bonus was that it came with the required 3 x AAA batteries, so there was no stress about realizing half way through opening that we had all forgot the batteries haha Seriously all toys should come with the very first set of batteries :P
Once open, it was easy to turn on, and even easier to use. Ity is a really great little drum set. Bright, colourful, musical, and even with blight flashing lights. And it is not annoyingly loud either! That is a definite win. No stressing that everyone is going to go deaf from the noise, or insane lol And it is a learning toy too, teaching children numbers, letters and rhythm. Add to all that the fantastic affordable price and the part to attach the drumsticks to the back of the kit when not in use, and you really have the perfect little kids musical toy. Two thumbs up
