Having tried one of the other Elderflower sparkling products from my review parcel I was quite interested to try this one also. Before receiving these bottles in my latest review parcel I had never tried Elderflower and knew very little about it. I wasn't sure what to expect at all in the flavour but was imagining something quite florally and possibly quite sweet.

The product had settled a little bit while sitting in the fridge so I inverted the bottle twice to make sure it was all mixed in properly. Upon opening the bottle a big group of little bubbles went up to the neck of the bottle. I do wonder whether it got a little shaken in transit as the bottle had to go on a bit of a journey to get to me down South! As with the original sparkling Elderflower I was met with a nice fruity, floral type smell, however, this one didn't seem as strong as the last one.

While taking my first mouthful I did notice that this variety didn't have as much sparkle to it as the other, although as mentioned earlier these bottles may have been affected while in transit to my place. I found the flavour quite similar to that of the original one and had to have another sip of the original to compare completely as I couldn't remember anything different. The rose variety seems to be quite a bit sweeter and the flavour just a little bit stronger. I certainly don't get as much of a lemon after taste with this variety, even though the same amount of lemon juice has been used. I did notice a slightly more fruity taste in this one and that will most likely be due to the grape juice that has been used in it. I assume this has been to give it more of a wine type taste, although I'm not a wine drinker so can't really comment too much on that!

The label on the bottle is very simple, and it actually makes it look like a wine product. If I was drink one of these at an event or gathering with friends I do think people would think I am having a wine. I do like that it is clearly labelled as a New Zealand product and that the label gives suggestions as to how it can be used (as a mixer for cocktails and sours). This is a product I would happily buy, however because of the price it would be for special occasions or now and then when I feel like something a little bit different. It certainly isn't a product I would enjoy on a daily basis.

This is the kind of product that if I did not know any better could confuse me and make me think it is an actually alcoholic beverage. IT IS NOT! I say this in capitals because it is an important point to make, as I had someone question me asking why I was allowing my child to consume wine. It is a non alcoholic beverage people...and a really really nice one at that lol

This is a really refreshing, super tasting drink. It has a light sparkle to it which I think complemented the flavours nicely. My husband said that he thought it was really strong in flavour. I didn't get that at all. It was obviously elderflower, but it was definitely not over bearing and you could smell it when you took the lid off, but again I thought quite subtly. This was a great example of how everyone's senses work differently. My kids really liked it too, so as we only had the one bottle I had to snaffle it away so that I would have enough left to make toffee apples with.

The plan was to make the toffee as per normal but omit the water out and add the sparkling rose in. I had to simmer the toffee for an extra 10 minutes longer than I normally would before it snapped when tested, and I was a bit worried that it maybe would not set, but the extra time simmering was all that was needed in the end. I was so happy it worked, because it gave the toffee such a beautiful flavour and combined with the apples, it was really yummy. My kids loved them, finishing the whole lot that evening.

This would be the perfect beverage for summer afternoons at the river when drinking alcohol is not an option, or to team with lazy afternoon bbqs. It is refreshing. It is a wonderful price. It is super yummy. And it is super classy looking which I really liked...perhaps write on it in vivid - 'non alcoholic' though if you are going to let your kids drink it in public lol Smile Icon

I was really intrigued by the bottle - before I had so much as removed the lid, I was imagining how people might mistake it for a wine bottle. The label is simple, offering a stylised floral logo which would be equally at home on a bottle of wine or even an artisan beer. This puts it above the level of ordinary fizzy drinks and into the realm of the designer product.

Like many people these days, I drink alcohol only when I am not intending to drive afterwards as I live in the country and am totally dependent on my car for transport. It is just not worth risking losing my licence because I am driving over the limit - apart, of course, from the safety aspect. So a drink that has a little more "party image" is a very useful accessory!

Of course, the packaging is nowhere near as important as the drink itself. So, having admired the outside, I removed the screw cap and tasted the contents. My first reaction was that the bouquet was more one of a light sauvignon than a fruit drink. When I then took my second taste, the impression was one of a smooth and slightly sweet drink - not too sugary and quite aromatic. Then, as I took yet another taste, I was able to make out the delicate aftertaste of the fruit. It had a creamy texture with a trace of citrus added. Altogether, this was a product that was a worthy rival to a good quality white wine.

I poured two-thirds of the bottle into two small wine glasses and shared it with a friend. We both liked it and thought it would be perfect to take to a BYO function as the screw top cap, while less "authentic" than a cork stopper, offers ease of access and also means you are not obliged to drink it all in one go. She was as enthusiastic as I was about the actual flavour; she, too, relies on her car for transport so sticks to non-alcoholic drinks when she is driving.

I deliberately left the remaining third in the bottle and replaced the lid as tightly as I could as I wanted to see if the contents would retain their flavour and fizz after several days. I stored it in the fridge and marked the date on the calendar so I would remember to go back to it - there is no indication of a "use by once opened" on the bottle so it was up to me to find out! One week later, the drink was as fresh as when I first opened it. I enjoyed the remaining third just as much as the first!

I will start by noting that although the info says to drink this chilled, I far prefer most of my drinks at room temperature, especially in the middle of winter, but I still found this to be a lovely tasting drink. The bottle has the same lovely design that we've come to expect of the brand and it taught me a new word, Verjuice, which is the unfermented Cabernet Sauvignon grape juice. The label also give the suggestion of being used in a cocktail however I would have like a suggestion or two as to exactly what would be a good addition to this, and thus I didn't really want to experiment without any sort of idea.

This one bottle states it does one serving, however, wanting a second opinion I split this in half with my mum and it still left me with a decent drink. I also like that the lid screws on, just in case you don't finish it, then you can save the fizz in this for another day. My mum thought that it has a nice taste with a nice aftertaste and something that she would drink again. I thought it tasted rather nice, a delicate drink with just the right mix of flavours. I found myself drinking this rather slowly, as I would a similar sized alcoholic drink, so in that regards it would last me a decent time while watching a movie or catching up on some tv. Tastes great and perfect for a nice drink or for when you want something that tastes good but without the alcohol.

I grew up in Southern Wales and elderflower wine was something I had regularly at my grandparents farm. As a young child me and my older sister used to walk up the country hill with a basket collecting the flowers and berries to take home for my nana to make us up the sweet drink. I remember the excitement I would feel as my nana made up her special wine to this day. I know you can get alcoholic versions but although my nana called hers wine it was non alcoholic like these drink from Addmore.

I was so excited to see these pop up on the KIWIreviews site and was stoked to be chosen to review a couple of the varieties. I hadn't had an elderflower drink in a long long time i'd almost forgotten how it tasted. I chilled this bottle of the sparkling rose and drunk it the same night, I am not an alcohol drinker but served it in a wine glass and if you were to attend a party it could easily be passed off as a fancy sparkling wine. I would be keen to buy some as an alternative to sparkling grape juice at christmas time!

I could smell the familiar scent of the elderflower as soon as I poured my glass and taking my first sip all those memories flooded back of just how much I enjoyed my nana's elderflower wine as a girl. I was glad that with the children in bed I did not have to share as I thoroughly enjoyed the sparkling rose and found it such an easy task to drink the small bottle. For $5 for a 330ml bottle I would be quite happy to pay the price as it is a drink I thoroughly enjoyed but would also be likely to buy a larger bottle for sharing.

It is definitely packaged in a way that you feel you are getting a real quality product and like I already said it would not look out of place among wine bottles at a party as a fancy non alcoholic wine. I loved the sparkling rose and will definitely be buying it again!

I was intrigued to hear of a drink containing Elderflower as I always find it odd to hear of food and drink items which contain 'flowers'. However as I researched Elderflowers a bit more I decided that this could infact be a drink that I may enjoy and so decided to review it to be certain, after all you will never know if you like something until you try it! During my research I was amazed to see just how many different products are out there containing Elderflower candy, sauces, cordials to name a few, perhaps it really does taste good?

Reading the list of ingredients on the bottle I was interested to see that both filtered water and Elderflower infusion were 2 of the main ingredients, this made me feel like I was going to get a real taste of ELderflower which I was interested to try. The bottle of lightly pink coloured liquid was easy to open, I had no problems unscrewing the cap. I took a sip of the sparkling drink and I have to say it was delightful it reminded me of one of my favourite non-alcoholic drinks, sparkling grape juice I loved it. Not only did it remind me a lot of sparkling grape juice, but it had a lovely hint of flavours which reminded me slightly of honey and flowers, this taste I am guessing is the taste of the Elderflower, as neither honey nor flowers are listed as ingredients.

Although I drank this bottle on it's own whilst sharing it with Miss 4 who also loved it straight from the fridge, I can certainly see that it would be great mixed with alcohol to make a very tasty alcohol. This is something I would certainly try again if I was wanting something non-alcoholic to take to a dinner or BBQ, to many people the look of the bottle and drink would probably suggest to others that you were drinking a fancy wine. I look forward to trying other drinks in the Elderflower range.
