During a dentist visit today Miss 3 was first exposed to look and find books, which she absolutely loved, so when we were out and about in town after the dentist appointment we happened to notice that one of the bookshops had a buy 1 get 1 50% off book sale, we usually use these opportunities to buy some new books to add to her collection. Walking into the shop she straight away noticed a huge stand featuring Nemo and Dory and asked if she could get one of there books ... of course! Searching for an appropriate book for her age I found the Finding Dory First Look and Find Book which has been made to suit Toddlers and offered her this as one of her book choices.
As soon as we arrived home she asked for her "treasure hunt" book, together we sat down and looked through the pages finding each of the different items on the pages, what I loved about this book was that one side of the page has a part sectioned off with the pictures which need to be found in the larger picture which is spread over the remainder of the double page. Whilst some of the animals and objects are easy to find there are some made to be a little bit more challenging which I found a great idea as it required Miss 3 to slow down, think and look more closely. Each page has a small paragraph which tells a story about what is happening in each of the pictures, I'm guessing that these are scenes taken from the movie Finding Dory, however I am yet to see the movie so am not to sure!
The book is absolutely beautifully presented and being a hard cardboard book it means that it isn't likely to get trashed making it a perfect book for Toddlers to enjoy on there own when you are busy, it kept Miss 3 entertained for ages! The front cover is lovely and is made from a lovely glossy cardboard )as are the other pages in the book) and it features embossed images of both Nemo and Dory and also of the lettering in the title, as well as the bubbles which also has a lovely glitter effect to them.
The last page of the book has a list of other things to go back and find in the book, and a range of other activities to do such as looking for pairs of items, and objects that begin with the letter F, these in my opinion are more suited for a child to sit down with their parent and do.
Miss 3 absolutely loves her new book, and we have had a lot of fun going through it together and taking turns at asking each other if they can find other various items which we can see ourselves on the pages. This book is great for keeping Miss 3 entertained when I am cooking dinner etc and she is always so proud of herself when she manages to find all the objects that are hidden. This book is a great learning tool and is fantastic for helping children in identifying colours, matching objects, learning letters, counting and making comparisons. The pages are bright and have such beautiful detailed graphics.
If you have a Finding Nemo or Dory fan this would make a fantastic gift for them, hours of fun to be had within this book!

Return to the Kingdom of Fantasy with Geronimo Stilton
I, Geronimo Stilton, never expected to return to the Kingdom of Fantasy. But when I received a letter from Blossom, the Queen of the Fairies, asking for my help, I had to respond.
It turned out the Queen wanted to send me on a great quest to find the Heart of Happiness. But first, I had to find the Map of Paradise. It was just my luck that the map was ... more...
