Product reviews...
Once again, a wonderful chance to expand the play options for my son arose, and I took it. This Combo Case is a wonderful addition to any Magnetix fan. Not only do you get a great assortment of shapes, but you also get a wonderful carry-case that can easily hold, I guess at well over 2000 pieces.
My entire collection of pieces was able to fill less than a third of this case, meaning it's value for an expanding collection is well worth the purchase price. A plastic case isn't really as effective, since the metal baseplat in the case allows your Magnetix to clip in place, preventing a shifting center of gravity.
Overall, I was really pleased with this kit, and the huge boost to the collection has opened up whole new creative scope, allowing bigger, more complex shapes to be built. A stellated icosahedron, edged in glow-in-the-dark rods, with crystal panels and struts, spinning in the window day and night is something funky to behold.
