So meet Napoleon Dynamite, whom you might have seen muttering 'Go-osh' and 'Idiot' in the halls. You probably recognise his tight red afro, his moon-boots and hammer-pants and his mean game of one-man tether ball.
But there's far more to Napoleon than the laid back nerd you've watched lecture about Loch Ness and get slammed into lockers. Because somehow this oddball managed to turn our school upside down and make the wildest dreams of his friends come true.

Napolean Dynamite is one of my younger brothers favourite movies. He first seen it when he was working as a security guard overseas and immediately purchased the DVD to bring home with him on his next leave he brought the DVD with him, feeling quite excited when he told us that he owned it. I imagine my face had the same blank look that my brain did because I had never heard of it.
Napolean Dynamite is one of those rather weird movies with a dry sense of humour attached. Going by my brothers excitement I expected so much more from it, as usually my brother has awesome taste in movies, but unfortunately this one was less than appealing to me. Napolean Dynamite most definitely marches to the beatof his own drum lol. The movie has some fairly good moments that promise a good belly laugh but mostly ut us just weird.
It is one of those movies where you wonder who comes up with these storylines, but also one where you are left wondering 'are there really people like that in the world?' And if so, 'how is that even possible?' lol For people with a wacky sense of humour, it will appeal.
This is one of those strange movies where it is hard to actually describe what it is about in a nice concise way.
Its star is Napoleon Dynamite who for all intensive purposes is a bit of an outcast and a little bit odd. This coupled with his uncle trying to relive the past, and his brother who seems more of a wimp then Napoleon you have the basis of a movie.
I have watched this a few times now, and actually really like it, but it is hard to pinpoint why. After making my sister and brother in law watch it, they were a little bit puzzled about what they had actually watched, but had to admit it wasn't too bad.
So if you want something a little less mainstream and want to watch a movie that will make you laugh, and go "why?" all at the same time, then check this one out.

In the late 1960s, American actress Jean Seberg grew bored of acting and became enthralled with the activist politics of the era, particularly the Black Panthers.
