This was a really entertaining, and heartwarming tale. For those who have kids in the 3-8 year old range will adore the lead character, young Damian... the adorable, pure logic that only kids seem to have, free of all the 'shades of grey' mentality that grows over our eyes as we age. But Damian also sees famous saints from the past, who visit him and discuss the moralities of the events he sets in motion.
This can lead to some really endearing, but dangerous, behaviour. And when the 'collector' turns up looking for his loot, Damian's life suddenly gets scary... since they are unable to ask for help without revealing their secret horde of cash, it's up to the boys to find a way out of the mess.
In the end, they learn the most valuable lesson of all... 'fess up and get help before you sink too deep.
Overall, this was a lovely movie, with an almost "Milo & Otis" feel to it, with a twist of "A Beautiful Mind"... just the thing to put on when you want to do the whole 'turn on the TV, light the fire and turn off the lights, snuggle under a duvet on the couch' night.

Based on the New York Times bestseller, WONDER tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade.
As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to find their compassion and acceptance, Auggie's extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can't blend in when you were born to stand out.
