Mad About Minibeasts! product reviews

This brilliantly beastly bouncy rhyming romp from Giles Andreae and David Wojtowycz will delight the many fans of this bestselling duo. From slugs and snails to bustling beetles and beautiful butterflies, these rhymes are full of humour and great to read aloud. The bright, distinctive artwork is full of child appeal.

Have you ever wandered about what really lives in your backyard and what these insects are getting up to? This gives you all the answers you will ever need. Each page is titled with a particular bug and gives you information regarding that animal in such a poetic way. We love this book. We purchased shortly after my daughter turned two because she loved Commotion in the Ocean so much. It is fantastic the pictures are so vivid and happy and the information is brief but vital.

Both of my girls love these books. They are brilliantly written and educational. Everything about this book is fantastic. It makes you appreciate insects and has both my girls thinking animals all over the world are so happy as each picture has huge smiles on there face. We have read this well over a million times and its one of those books you do not rereading.

After reading it you do want to go to the garden and try and find all of the different animals. I love the way it talks about the caterpillar and how it has to spin its cocoon and go to sleep and soon it will venture out as a beautiful butterfly. Also the Dragonfly really does look amazing and is my daughters favourite as its wings are like shimmering rainbows - just beautiful. A fantastic series to collect.
