I am a bit of a hippie at heart and after trying the Feijoa GoodBuzz , I happily put my name down for this one - chance to try another flavour . Having a look at the ingredients and information - I was pleased to know this is a good option as a treat drink and a change from caffeinated ones. I popped it straight into the fridge as I prefer cold to room temperature drinks, and patiently waited..... to have it later.
Opening the bottle was easy - twist top - no problems there. I liked the warning about floaty bits - made me smile. I poured it into a chilled glass , to enjoy a little like cider , and was greeted with a sweet smell , but almost a little like iced tea .
Tasting it - very nice. It was not too sweet - and even my husband , after tasting it commented that it was a nice change to have.
I would have preferred the flavour to be a little stronger , but was not put off finishing every drop , and having to liberate it from my husbands grasp !!! From the first to last sip - totally enjoyed it, and have recommended it to a few people !
The things I liked about this drink - the not too sweet taste , the fact that it is different to anything else on the market , the eye catching labels and humour , and the variety in the range.
The things that let this drink down a little - availability - and that the price is on the more expensive side , making it definitely a treat rather than everyday drink . I will keep searching, as it is worth it!
I like the bottle and am always up to try something non alcoholic since i'm normally the sober driver. If it tastes good then I really can't complain and if it's in a bottle like this, all the better. I liked the art work and would be keen to source some more so that I could have a set.
Kombucha which I understand the drink is also known as, is good for many things including weight loss. For someone like me, making the switch to this rather than caffeine filled drinks would be relatively easy if I could find them. The local stores that I visited just don't seem to stock them and this is highly disappointing with it being the up and coming new thing.
i don't actually know if I liked it as it was cold and I drank it back on a hot day but it wasn't bad. I will be trying to find this so that I can try some of the other flavours and would be keen to try feijoa and the lemon ginger. My mother in law would also be keen to try them but is worried about the price when she can buy a bottle of coke for the same price. Does coke have the same claimed health benefits, no.
I have tried every other drink in the Good Buzz Booch range, so I needed to finish the set with the Green Jasmine. Now this drink is much like the rest of the range. It's fermented and raw so there is that salty fizzy taste, as well as the taste of green and jasmine teas. I enjoyed the floral smell and taste to the drink.
The bottle design is really catching, as it has been with all of them. I just love good design and these are bottles that I feel a bit bad about throwing into the recycling. But I don't really know what I would do with them, if I kept them just to look at either.
My toddler was pretty amped to bake this morning so I thought we would make some scones with this Green Jasmine drink and my trusty scone pre-mix. She loved the way that the drink made the scone mix froth up. Mixing it up was easy, though it came out wetter than I expected. I just added a bit more scone mix to the bowl. I thought the scones would come out really flat as the mix was flat like a pizza on the tray, but once baked it was lovely and plump.
Inside the cooked scone, it was really fluffy and light. I cut the scones up and then served them with jam and cream. Even with the jam and cream on the scone, you could still smell and taste that floral Jasmine flavour. So that was a neat difference. In a scone was the only way I could get my husband to try this, and he actually loved them. He was buzzing about getting fresh baked and fluffy scones for lunch. I think this one was probably my second flavourite after the Lemon Ginger. I do wish I had made more scones, they were so good!
One thing that you can't say about Goodbuzz Brewing Co. is that they have deceptive labels on their packaging. They let you know that the drink may contain floaty bits, and that it is naturally carbonated and not to shake it. Clearly, my drink got shaken up in the post, as it certainly made a bit of a mess when I opened it.
The flavour is enjoyable, and while subtle, it is unmistakably that of both green tea, and jasmine tea. The level of carbonation is very similar to that of alcoholic beverages (which this beverage does in fact contain trace amounts of), and provides a light drink. I certainly like the packaging designs of this range of drinks; very artistic and very much following the natural theme of the beverage.
There is very little more that I can say about this drink. It is everything that it claims to be, its a healthy brewed probiotic soft drink. My only issue with it, is the limited outlets that I can purchase the beverage in, and the high price for the single serving. If I could buy it in multipacks, it would definitely be a part of my weekly shopping trip.
