I was actually really excited about this one. I read so many great things about it and when I found out it was about Witches I was counting down till I could finally watch it. Jessica Lange was back and this time she was definitely out shined by Cathy Bates who done an amazing job as Madame Delphine LaLaurie who was a mad racist who drained African Americans of there blood as she believed had healing powers. She played an amazing role after being hexed for years returns to become a slave to Queenie.

Although I preferred Coven over Asylum it was still lacking something that Murder House had. But this had everything you need to make a gripping show - revenge, love, hate, murder, ghosts, sisterhood, witches - it always had you guessing what would happen next especially when Angela Bassett character was introduced. I loved the Supreme tests and had my 'suspect' of who I thought it was going to be - unfortunately I was wrong but I am glad the way it all turned out.

It didn't jump around as much as the previous shows had and stuck more to the topic which I preferred. It had a handful of characters that where easy to get involved with. Although at times it did get a tad boring and at times I was wishing that it would just end, but I still did enjoy it.

Having seen season one and season two of American Horror Story and enjoying both, I was glad to finally be able to record season three on MySky and watch it over the last week (just in time for Freakshow!) and to see some great actors in their new roles.

We move on down to New Orleans where we join a struggling Coven, their Supreme is narcissistic and wants nothing more than to live forever, the leader of the local voodoo tribe and a witch from years ago, cursed and racist. The setting is perfect and stays true to the area bringing in Papa Legba for added effect. The scenery is mainly based in just a couple of areas, the Coven house, the swamp and the hairdressers home.

The characters are interesting to a point, it's more the dynamics between them all that makes the show, not the past of each character, but given that it is so focused on their survival and figuring out who the next Supreme is, this works out ok. I love that they stick to the beliefs of the local area and there is a variety of characters, we're not just stuck with Hollywood's 'thin and pretty' stock.

I enjoyed this and can't wait for season Four, Freakshow.
