The name says it all - another delicious flavour in our premium hot chocolate range.
Product reviews...
I purchased this one the other day when I wasn't selected to try the flavour via KIWIreviews. It was high on my list of wanting to try, so I was happy to part with some money on this one. We are big consumers of Avalanche drink powders anyway, but we do usually stick to the tried and true flavours. The marshmallow one is a big hit here. Since my kids enjoyed the sugar free chocolate that I did trial, I tried them on this cookies and cream flavour as well.
I made this up as a hot chocolate style drink for both of my children. They both happily emptied their drinking vessels and declared the taste to be very yum. They even asked for more, which is an excellent sign. I tried this as a hot chocolate drink also and I found it delicious.
Now cookies and cream flavoured things are often a bit disappointing. I often find them to be like drinking the milk after you have dunked a few bikkies in. Nothing to write home about, sweet but too subtle. Avalanche has done a top job here. It's sweet without being overpowering. It has that cookie-dunked milk flavour to it, but its way less subtle. They just get the balance right.
We are really enjoying it. Plus the pot it comes in is larger than the others we tried so for the price it's pretty good value. This is one we will definitely be buying again in future. Many thanks to KIWIreviews, without this community I wouldn't have even know this had been released.
When I was a little kid living in Palmerston North, I loved drinking hot chocolate, what young kid doesn't? But I only drank Milo, which was just one flavour, but after drinking Avalanche hot chocolate, I found a larger range of flavours! So far, from this range, I have tried the "Divine" and "Marshmallow Melt" flavours, but I was very interested to find out what "Cookies and Cream" tasted like. As soon as I add boiling water to the drink, which releases it's smells and fumes, the drink smelled quite sweet, which was like a beckoning call for me to come and drink it, which I did.
The drink tasted quite delicious, it was smooth, and sweet, as the smell suggested. I found that the drink actually smelled sweeter than the drink actually tasted, which is a good thing because while the smell still tempted me, there was some slight hesitation, as the smell was sickly sweet, but I guess you can't trust all of your senses, because each sense might just be telling stories that don't match up! I have not yet tried any inventive food ideas with this stuff, so, may I suggest a few ideas to seed the minds of other readers? Okay, here they are: first off, why not use this drinking chocolate to make chocolate muffins or biscuits?
You could just replace the cocoa powder in some recipes for this stuff? or why not use the powder in chocolate Sundays and smoothies, or even dust this stuff over pies or other dishes, just to add a bit of added flavour and pizzazz to your creations! I had a look at the Avalanche website, particularly at the range of drinking chocolates, and I found that while I have now tried three flavours, there is a fourth: Hokey Pokey, which, as proven by my positive opinions on the other 3 flavours in the range, is one I wish to try sometime! I think that this is some very tasty powdered drinking chocolate mix, and I love how Avalanche have taken a well-recognized flavour, and made it into something delicious to drink, so to you, Avalanche, I give much Kudos!

This juice is delectable and sumptuous for a fruit juice. Captivating the refreshing feijoa and soft apple, complementing one-another perfectly.
