I am a VERY big coffee drinker so when I heard KIWIreviews had received some coffee samples from Avalanche to offer up for review I had to apply immediately. I love the aroma of coffee in my home. I love sitting in starbucks because of the smell of coffee and I especially love the taste of a perfectly brewed coffee. As an added bonus I adore flavoured coffee and can drink my instant coffee black or with milk. Coffee is my staple.

So I was sent the Avalanche freeze dried instant coffee supreme to review. It is presented in a nice little jar with an easy to open lid. The coffee itself smells and looks devine in the tin. I made a standard coffee with milk. The smell as expected was nice and strong but the taste was a little weak even though I used a heaped tea-spoon. I readily admit that I like a good strong cup of coffee and can have up to two teaspoons of coffee per cup depending on brand. I did not add further coffee to the cup and just drank it as it was. My next cup I used 1.5 tea-spoons of coffee and it was just right.

The taste was fairly similar to most brands of coffee and I could not taste the subtle fruit flavour it claims which was a little dissapointing to be honest. The RRP for the amount of coffee you get is also in my opinion much to high and because of this I don't rate it to highly in terms of value for money. It is a good coffee though and I would purchase it if it were on special but not at full price though.

I do hope I get to try more of the Avalanche coffee and drinks as its only the price for the amount of coffee that lets it down :)
