You could be forgiven for thinking, at first glance, that this was some kind of bottle-opener designed for some strange foreign beer caps. But no, this is indeed the smallest, most compact smartphone stand I have yet come across. Small enough to clip onto your keyring, this is a sturdy yet stylish little gadget. Just slide your phone into the rubberised slot, adjust it to give the best angle for your eyes, and sit back to watch streamed media all you want. Or until you blow out your mobile data cap.

I liked how simple it was, but how many options it opened up. You can have your phone landscape or portrait format, and you can - if you are clever - use this in a way that allows you to level your phone off on an uneven surface. Something that may not be needed very often, but still, nice to have the functionality and not need it, than need it but not have it. I did find though, when I tried using this with a larger phone I have been testing for review, that it became very unstable with only one of these attached. Looks like anything larger than a "phone" - such as an iPad Mini or an HTC One Max would need TWO of these little beasties to give it stable legs, and that could get tricky, trying to get them evenly balanced.

Overall, this is a simple device. Because of that, there's not a huge amount to be said about it really. It works well, within a defined tolerance of devices. Outside that range, it get rapidly more awkward to use - just like any stand! You wouldn't expect an iPad stand to perform as well when you stonk a laptop on it, after all. I liked that they were pressed from a single piece of metal, and the anodised green is really my kind of colour, but I think the price is a little steeper than it should be. Around $8 would be a better price point to target IMHO. At that price, I would buy about 6 of them, so I had enough for all my portable computing devices.
