In a world of faeries, what if Charles Darwin was inspired by an encounter with some of the wee folk when he was a baby? What if the faeries later took his theory of evolution - survival of the fittest - to heart in a very blood thirsty interpretation?

The amazingly creative team behind this title is headed up by William Geradts - the director behind the Australian and New Zealand Armageddon Expos, which explains why this title can be easily purchased at any of these events. On the story-writing side of things, William has teamed up with Richard Fairgray - the creator of "Blastosaurus" - and the artistic talents of Gonzalo Martinez on art and inks, and Juan Moraga on colours and textures. This has resulted in a very high-calibre publication, both on the web - where a new page is released regularly, and in hardcopy format. Oh yes, and this is the same team behind The Time-Travelling Tourist graphic novel series too.

While the story itself is intriguing enough to warrant high praise, the artwork is also of such a high standard as to equal anything I have seen in commercial offerings on store shelves. It really has me scratching my head wondering why this title hasn't exploded onto the mainstream market yet. I honestly feel it has everything it needs to escape the online and Expo circuits and launch to great appeal on the shelves of comic stores internationally.

Overall, without giving away key plot elements, I can't say to much more... but I can say that if you have a wicked sense of humor you will probably enjoy this prime example of the graphic novel form. Comics for adults it may be, but that's not really a bad thing, and I think teenagers, especially boys, would really enjoy this. I'd love to see more stories set in this world, and it's great to see the story continuing online, and how it patches into the storyline of the Inspiration Duncans near the end of Issue #3 - which is where this hardcopy publication ends.
