I liked this book as it was short and easy to read, the story can be comical sometimes but still realistic. I missed the second book but they hint at some of the story.
Scrap desperately wants to meet his father and prove that a blonde puppy can do well at the dog trials. A lot of the other dogs know his father by reputation and they try and get him to realise that he doesn't need his father.
The book is short and well written and would appeal to most kids, mine saw the picture on the front cover and were rather excited but told me that they wanted me to read the book to them when they were older as they had more exciting things to do like play. Kids have short attention spans but this book should capture their attention.
I'm not sure if there are any other books in this series but if there are I would love to read and keep for the kids.

Henry Wilt is back! In a major publishing event, one of Britain's finest living writers returns with his greatest creation. Brilliantly written and bitingly funny, Tom Sharpe's indefatigable hero is pitted against the vices of an aristocratic pervert, the merciless greed of a politician's wife and the seedy underbelly of Britain's medical facilities, deftly exposing the farcical realities of small-town England and America.
