Product reviews...
When it comes to deciding on what type of chips to buy from the supermarket salt and vinegar wins every time, they are by far my favourite flavour, along with the other added bonus that my partner doesn't like salt and vinegar one bit which means that there all for me... YAY. When I saw that the Fantastic Delites had added sea salt and balsamic vinegar to there range they had to go into my trolley. I had sampled a variety of there other flavours in the past and found them to be super delicious so was sure that these were going to be a huge hit with me.
With the other flavours from the Fantastic Delites range in the past I have served them with a range of dips and cheeses, although they are plenty flavoursome on there own. I got home and ripped open my bag of sea salt and balsamic vinegar delights they were packed full of a huge flavour punch, which in my opinion out does any salt and vinegar chips I have tried. The flavour wasn't over powering, I found it just right. I did however decide that they are one of those items that are best eaten on there own, I really couldn't name anything that these may go well with.
If someone was to ask me if the Delites were more like a chip or cracker I would say the perfect mix of both light and crispy and the right bite sized snack. These would make for a perfect pre dinner snack, or are great to chick in with your lunchbox (as I do), They would be perfect for entertaining and putting on a platter as a healthier healthier alternative to chps. They stay super fresh in there packet when sealed with a peg. A well priced snack.
I think I possibly expected a bit more from sea salt and balsamic vinegar rice snacks, so to be perfectly honest I was actually a bit disappointed in these. The recommended retail price is a fair price to pay, and you definitely get your moneys worth for sure. But I think perhaps I found them a little confusing lol
When watching movies, reading, writing assignments or reviews I often treat myself to rice crackers with gherkin dip, and a mix of both camembert and Brie cheese. This is my favorite kind of platter :) I usually stick to a specific type of cracker for my platter, but decided to treat myself and buy these, they sound delicious and look just a little bit fancy.
Upon opening the pack it was obvious these were very nicely seasoned, and I think that is where I went wrong. They were so seasoned that they did not go well with my dip. They were okay with the cheese though, they are nice and fresh and crunchy BUT is it a cross between a cracker and a potato chip? And are they healthy or actually bad for you? I had to investigate. A packet of these has 108 calories, heaps of salt (400mg sodium), 19g carbs, a gram each of sugar and protein and 3g total fat. I admit that surprised me, they are such a well flavored little cracker that it was hard to believe they could taste so nice and not be bland.
As a cracker on their own or with a selection of cheese, these are very glam. As a cracker with dip, I wouldn't bother, it's either a waste of your dip or a waste of your cracker.
Yum I love salt n vinegar flavouring and these crackers are no exception! I tried these recently as I have been looking for different "snack" things to add to my lunchbox every day. I get bored of the same old easily so thought these might be something different to try - I wasnt wrong either and am now looking forward to trying the other flavours in the range.
I wasnt really sure what to expect from this product as I had just kind of grabbed it off the shelf n chucked it in the trolley. I'm not sure if it was the big "special" sign or the graphics of the box that got my attention - maybe it was a bit of both. When I opened these crackers I looked at them and kind of thought okay so is it a chip or is it a cracker?
After my first taste I'm still not sure on the answer haha it's kind of a mix of the two things. You can kind of tell the product is rice (hence the rice cracker taste/feeling) but it is crinkled an shaped/looks like a chip. They are crunchier than chips and the flavour is amazing! If you love salt n vinegar like I do then I fully recommend this product!
I will definately be buying these again and fully recommend to others
I picked up a packet of these on the weekend, as my husband likes to have a packet of something to snack on when he is going to games or playing on the xbox. These were something a bit different, but with a flavour that I knew would be acceptable to him. The box is a good shape, and sits easily on the shelf. I like the graphics as well. It's black with a purple or maroon colour, which shows its their Salt and Vinegar flavour. The photo on the front left of the box shows you the balsamic vinegar and the sea salt, and these are framed with the clipart salt and vinegar motifs down the right side.
I'm not a big fan of salt and vinegar flavour, but some I can handle. I tried two of these chip style crackers. They had that tell tale sign that they are rice, because they were a bit shiny looking. But they otherwise were crinkled like a potato chip. They had a good crunch and they snapped beautifully. But the flavour was so intense. If you LOVE vinegar flavouring, you will love this. My daughter who likes vinegar flavouring, had half a chip and couldn't have anymore. My husband on the other hand monstered the rest of the box and enjoyed them a lot.
I will buy these again, because he liked them and he will be able to enjoy them without sharing (hey, I get to do that with so many other things!). These are also gluten free which while we don't have any intolerances, is still a big plus for those who do need to be careful.
