New Zealand's best feijoas are sourced from the Waikato and combined with Puhoi Valleys velvety thick yoghurt to give a unique Kiwi flavour. An irresistible combination available in a 450g tub.

I originally went to the supermarket to see if they had the berry flavour of the Puhoi Valley yoghurt, but as there was none on the shelf I started to look at the other flavours. The Fabulous Feijoa caught my eye and I knew I would not be leaving without it. It says it's Feijoa from the Waikato. I related to this, as someone living in the Waikato. Feijoas are nationwide really, but something I have really come to notice more since living in Hamilton.
I got this home and decided to try some on my breakfast cereal the next day. I had this with Hubbard's feijoa muesli. The sauce on top is really nice and has a good feijoa flavour, but is also quite apple tasting as well. It definitely gets its texture from apple puree, but I expected that it would be more of a feijoa/apple sauce so that was okay. It was quite sweet, and I think on it's own it would have been too much. It needed the tartness of the yoghurt to cut that sweetness.
The yoghurt did not disappoint me. I read another reviewer describe Puhoi Valley's yoghurts as being like eating a cheese cake. As I love cheese cake I had to give it a go. They were right. Its thick and creamy like a Greek yoghurt, but has that tart sour taste of a cheese cake as well. It was so good! I had this on my porridge another morning and that was a hit with me. I also served it on a hot pudding one night and that was very nice too. Lastly I shared a little with my baby. She loves yoghurt and she devoured this and cried for more. So I guess I better go and buy some more!
