"Bad Santa" is the story of two conmen who go on a road trip to malls dressed as Santa and his elf.
Rather than spreading good cheer, the duo's motive is to rob each establishment, a strategy that becomes complicated when they encounter an 8-year-old who teaches them the true meaning of Christmas.

Bad Santa is one of those movies that appears on our screens every Christmas. I groan when I see it advertised but somehow I always end up watching it from start to finish. I just can't help myself and then at the end I ask myself why did I bother. It is a very corny movie about a department store Santa and his elf that are nothing like the traditional roles they are simple criminals robbing the stores.
Although it is a Christmas movie it is certainly isn't for the kids as there is lots of sexual references, crime, swearing and generally for one young kids the illusion of Santa will be shattered.
Please someone remind me this Christmas to turn the TV off rather than watch this trash again. I recommend you spend your time and money on something else.
Well I cant say this is a favourite movie of mine. But in saying that I have watched if a couple of times each time I pick up something new i like or dislike about the movie.
Now its really all about two guys that pretty much work as Santa and Santa's little helper in ways you would never think of. They then use those jobs ( i use the term loosely) to rob stores.
The bit i do like about in this movie is a 8 year old boy that takes in "Santa" and really believes its Santa asking him questions and "Santa" helping this kid out. This really teaches the meaning of Christmas and his one wish was a pink elephant, that "Santa" manages to get for him of course in the same way as they got everything else.
Its def a movie not to watch while kids are around, its my "OMG im bored and it happens to be on tv yea ill watch it while doing something else" movie, i would DEF not pay for it though or buy the DVD, sorry.
We went to see Bad Santa in the theatres when it came out. We were on our honeymoon and at a loose end. There was clearly not much on as Bad Santa was the only movie up for consideration.
I found the humour in this movie pretty crude, and over the top. At the time, it would have been very unusual to be that direct and dirty. But now that sort of language and those sorts of characters turn up in movies all the time.
I found the characters deeply unlikable, with little in the way of redeeming features. That made it hard to believe that they might be capable of change. But like all American films like this, they tried to go with the feel good ending.
This movie was okay. I didnt cringe that I had wasted hours of my life when I came out. But I was a bit shell-shocked and unsure what to think I guess.
I really enjoyed this movie and would absolutely watch it again, he was just so classic, and I loved the way he woke up to himself towards the end, great movie and I would recommend it but not for any children lol.
-yawn- About all I can remember were two lines, neither of which are suitable in this forum.
They were great lines, with a lot of mental giggles whenever I remember them... but a movie that contains so little as to leave just 2 lines as it's epitaph... well, that is just plain sad.
Overall... I want my money back!
