I absolutley love these (what my daughter calls) 'little wee balls of sweetness'. I discovered them a few months back when I was wanting to decorate a birthday cake for my daughter's 6th birthday. I loved the shimmer and shine of the little balls. They looked elegant and cute and my daughter adored them. I wasn't quite sure what to expect with regards to their texture, but I was very pleasently surprised. They're weren't squishy soft, but have a slightly crisp shell coating with a softer centre. Although my daughter is not of an age when choking is such a risk, I love the fact that you could use these on cakes, cupcakes or biscuits etc for any age and they would be safe for for a young toddler.

As the buttercream dried on my daughters cake a few of the pearls did pop out/fall off, but they were easily enough fixed with a tiny dap of icing. It may have been that I didn't press the pearls far enough down into the icing. I will need to experiement further.

I would certainly reccommend these to anyone. They add a touch of shimmer and magic to any baking. They are of a perfect consitancy. They haven't got sticky or clumped together in the bottle. And they are simple and easy to use. A+ product.

These soft sugar pearls are on those products that you have been thinking would be a great thing to be made, but that no one ever has. When I was at the supermarket looking for some decorations down the baking isle for a batch of cupcakes I had cooling on the bench at home, I was very excited to see these. The colours were bright and appealing, with a beautiful pearl shimmer to them, a nice change from the common silver decoratons you seen on decoratated baking.

I was a bit skeptical at first as I thought they may not be as soft as I had hoped for, which meant I wouldn't have been able to use them as the cupcakes were a special treat for my 2 year old. When I got home and sampled a few of the soft sugar pearls I was pleasantly surprised to find they were infact the perfect texture, not completely soft but definetely not hard, the texture and taste kind of reminded me of some cereal balls I used to eat when I was younger but with more of a sweet sugary taste then I had remembered.

When my partner went to sample a cupcake his first comment was "why did you put those hard balls on top? I hate them" once he tried them he changed his tune and said he didn't mind them after all. These were definetely a hit in my books and a perfect decorating tool, with the variety of colours that come in the cute little storage bottle they are great for sprinkling randomly over a cake, or for picking out certain colours and making patterns with them on top of iced cakes, cupcakes and biscuits as I like to do. They stick really well and are easy to work with and handle, if you pour out to many they are easy to put back into the bottle.

Definetely a cute and handy decoration to have in the pantry for when you need it, with a great price to match.

Finally these arrived in my supermarket and they went straight into the trolley....I thought these pearl would be the run of the mill hard to eat cake decorations like the others offered on the market but I will absolutely wrong!! I am stoked that the Queen brand of Soft Sugar Pearls are actually soft and taste delicious!!

The colours are amazing too and even though they are small they are easy enough to handle and place on cupcakes or onto a cake around the edge for a simple yet very effective and very hassle free decoration that looks ... well good enough to eat.

I was totally expecting a hard teeth breaking little ball and was very pleasantly surprised when they just melted in my mouth and they have a lovely fruity flavour to them and with a lot of them in the container they will cover a few cakes and or cupcakes so they are very easy on the bank balance. I am also pleased that there is a range of colours in the same container...unlike some other brands that just offer one colour.

I am a fan of the Queen brand and am always looking for new baking products by leading brands and totally recommend these as they are super easy to eat and everyone from children to grandparents would enjoy to eat these little pearl of loveliness and you can rest assured that you won't chip a tooth in the process!

I was also very pleased that when I was placing the individual pearls around the edge of the cake that they didn't melt or the colour didn't run while I was holding them in my hand, the cake was placed into the fridge to chill over night and the pearls colouring didn't run into the icing over night and the colours were still very colourful and vibrant come the morning.

I will definitely by buying these pearls on a regular basis and will be recommending them to all my friends that enjoy baking and using quality products to decorate their baking with. 10/10 from me!

We had plans to make a cake. Every Friday my mum, husband and I have a movie night where we aim to watch a movie that I own, that my mum hasn't seen yet. Due to it being the school holidays I decided to do quick and easy 'party' type food and cake for dessert. I wanted to decorate it, make it look bright and pretty as it was a real treat for the kids as we rarely bake cakes.

The Soft Sugar Pearls caught my eye when I was looking for decorations. I had thought about sprinkles but don't always like them. I saw these and was very pleased to see that these are soft, as no one in my family like the hard silver ones. The 65g container is also around the same cost as the sprinkles etc so off went a packet into our trolley.

The jar is nice and easy to operate and the pearls have a lovely bright colour. Sure enough, these are lovely and soft yet still hold their shape and colour perfectly. They were a hit with the kids with my 3 year old only wanting to eat them and not her cake.
