I have never used this hand soap before until recently when I went to do the groceries for my work place and my boss had written this product on the list. I was quite suprised at how cheap the pump bottle was for a product I thought would be more expensive. Being early childhood teachers who work with a lot of children we are constantly surrounded by lots of germs so a soap which has high antibacterial protection is a must.

At first I wasnt so sure of the smell of Protex but have come to quite like it and now associate the smell with my hands being clean. I think of it a little bit like Dettol - you either love the smell or hate it. I also do like that it isnt flower smelling/overpowering on your hands for hours afterwards.

I found the lather on this product to be really good, you don't need more than a single pump thats for sure. I also like that this product isnt over drying on your skin. I don't particularly think its moisturising either but it definitely doesnt dry my hands further which with sensitive skin I often find hand soaps do.

All in all a great product that I fully recommend to others Smile Icon

We normally use Dettol foaming handwash but also have Protex liquid handwash in the bathroom as it is nice to have a choice. The dettol ones smell a lot nicer and also feel a lot 'lighter' to use in comparison to the protex. Even though it is called liquid handwash, this is also a foam.

It seems to be a thicker, heavier foam than the dettol but is just as creamy. You do not need a lot to wash your hands, just one pump is enough. It spreads really well and rinses off easy too. It removed the coal dust off my hands with no problems at all, better than a normal bar of soap does.

I personally do not like the smell, however compared to others it does smell more sterile, cleaner maybe. You know the others are washing your hands and leaving them smelling lovely but with this your hands smell hospital clean lol All in all if you do not mind the smell this is an excellent handwash and most definitely worth every sent. Apart from smell my only major gripe is because the bottle is not see-through anywhere you do not know how much is left.
