Product reviews...
I have a five year old Maltese Shih Tzu, who is really a huge part of our family - even if she's the smallest!
When we first got our dog Maddie, I had no idea on how to correctly train a dog. So I researched the area and attended a weekly puppy training school. On the first night (after all the puppy energy was expended), the instructor said we had to reward our puppy for doing something right. She suggested Belgium, or dog treats. Other people then said Schmackos were the best.
So after class, away to supermarket I went. Immediately I spotted the packet with the bright red bag and I bought the beef straps which where about $5.00.
I got the treats home and immediately noticed they were resealable, which I thought was great as the trainer said treats had to be tasty as they could whilst training. So to keep them fresh was a real bonus. The bag itself is a tear open or cut open from the top above the reseal part. You can see the treats through the bag, which I liked also. There is some funny artwork or a dog on the bag quoting, dogs go wacko for schmacko, which is a fantastic jingle, because it really is true.
I can honestly say that these treats played a huge part in training my dog, they were easily slipped into your pocket and great as straps, as you can rip them up to size. My dog Maddie really does go wacko for them, she knows the bag colour (god knows how as I thought they were colour blind) and she will do all manner of tricks for anyone to get her Schmackos.
By far and away these are my dogs favourite treat. I would recommend these treats for all people with dogs young and old.
Schmackos strapz are the perfect treat for when training your dog...they are easily cut or torn off to make smaller pieces and given to the dog when they have successfully followed a command. Just like the advertising logo says...dogs really do go wacko for schmackos!! Well my 2 do they love them.
I can rest assured because these treats have no artificial colours or flavours which is fantastic for 1 of my dogs because she has an allergy to food colour! Another fantastic thing is that the pack comes with 2 separately sealed packs to keep the treats fresh so one pack stays fresh while the other pack is open, but the outer pack is sealed fresh with a zip lock bag system.
On the back of the pack there is a new trick to learn. A great way to get repeat customers buying different packets until all the tricks are collected. I like how the customer can choose different sized bags as well...single packs, double or triple packs, one whole flavour or can buy a pack with 3 different flavours in the one bag....my two prefer the beef flavour the best but they enjoy all schmackos!
Another bonus is schmackos always seem to be on special at the supermarket or out my pet supply shop so I can't remember the last time I paid full retail price for a pack of schmackos...and the feeding guide on the back of the packet ensures I don't over treat my pooches....even when just given as treats, not only for rewarding good behaviour or following comments. I don't think my dogs could live without their daily treat of schmackos strapz.
It's funny they will only eat the strapz...I have bought the beef sticks but the fussy sausages will only eat the strapz....go figure I thought they would all be the same but obviously not!....the strapz must be better somehow!!
