When I found out I was pregnant with my second child I was determined they (I didn't know if the baby was a he or she at this stage) would have some things of their own. I fell in love with the cute bug-a-loop teether. It was in colours and a theme that was suitable for a boy or girl which was very important given we already had lots of girly toys in the house.

I had already discovered that Nuby create quality baby products so I knew that it was going to be safe for my baby. When I opened the packet I discovered that there were two threads going through each bead so if one broke there isn't a collection of loose beads to become a choking hazard.

My baby didn't seen interested in this while she was teething but enjoyed grappling hold of it and twisting the bug beads. Since it was a a big circle it was easy to attach a cord to so it could be secured to the stroller and didn't become part of the I drop, Mummy picks up game.

Now that my girls are older it has moved to our dress up box. They both love to use it as their tiara and will sometimes put a silk scarf over their head with the scarf on top to create a veil for their wedding. This is definitely a durable product and great value for money.

My son has been teething quite bad at the moment and has enjoyed chewing on one of these to help with his gum pain. I picked this up at the supermarket which was nice and convenient and was on special so was good value for money.

It is made up of lots of different bugs and just plain round bumps in the shape of the circle. The round bumps are rubber so they can chew on them and it massages the gums but they don't bite through the rubber. Because of the shape he can get the loop right in to the mouth to chew with his back gums which is the current problem spot.

I like it because it is cute with the little bugs and is more toy like than some other teething rings I have seen and I like that it is rubber as well as plastic too. Cai seems to like it because it is bright and colourful and it is really easy for him to grip on to with one hand and put in his mouth so has been really helpful for him in the last few weeks.
