After having three kids I know that only quality toys will last the distance, Fisher-Price has been one of my trusted brands for many years, so when purchasing this letterbox I knew it would hold up to my kids! I bought this for my second child as a baby and it has had a lot of use not just from her but other kids that have come around to play. My 6-month-old has just started playing with it too.

It comes with 3 colourful letters to post into the slot at the top of the mailbox which is awesome for developing hand-eye coordination skills. There is also a package which they can either put in the back or open the front of the letterbox. You can either choose ABC mode or music mode, the music isn't too annoying compared to some other toys out there and the 6-month-old seems to like it. The bird on the top of the letterbox sits on a spring which is super appealing to babies. Other features are a snail where you can roll the shell and a butterfly to press.

This is a nice toy with vibrant colours to catch your babies attention. I love that it is also a learning toy as Fisher-Price often does with their toys. I wouldn't say that it's $80 as I see it on sale quite often and we got ours for $30. I definitely recommend this toy especially for toddlers that love to check the mailbox. It will last as my 4yo still loves playing with it.

I have always been really impressed by the quality and amount of thought that seems to go into the make and design of Fisher Price toys. When I was looking for a present for my daughters first birthday I of course went straight to looking at all of the Fisher Price toys on the market over other competitors brands. The Fisher Price Laugh and Learn - Learning Letters Postbox, caught my attention due to the bright colours and fun characters attached to the letterbox. It seemed like it had a lot to see, do and explore which is important for such a toy as those with just 1 concept or those which can only be used in one set way get tired of very quickly and when you are spending this amount of money it's not really what you want to see happen.

Luckily for me I spotted this toy at Kmart for the retail price of $30.00 which was a huge saving compared to The Warehouse's retail price of $79.99, so it goes to show it pays to shop around. When my daughter opened this present she was drawn to the bright colours and was excited to see the bird that is perched on top of the letter box. After opening up the box I showed her how to post the envelopes into the slot at the top and showed her how to take them back out of the letter box by wither the front or back of the mail box openings, it didn't take long for her to know exactly what to do. We continued exploring the Letter box trying out all of the different buttons, flaps and levers, my daughter loved all the sounds and music it played and spent her time bopping away to it. My daughter is now 2 and still loves it, she has moved on from posting the items that came with it to writing her own "letters" and "mail" and posting this inside it, and if you ever have a missing item its more often than not in here.

This toy was definitely worth it's money, a very popular toy for all those who visit our house and still a definite favourite of Miss 2's.

I brought the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Mailbox on special from the Warehouse for about $30 for my second daughter when she was eight months old. She LOVES it.

We only had to show her a couple of times how to put the envelopes through the hole and how to open the mail box up to find the letters. We also showed her how to make the various items make sounds/sing/music and she was obsessed with it straight away. She is now 1 and she still plays with it except now all sorts of things end up being pushed through the slot or she opens the front of the mail box and hides it inside. Which is really awesome educationally but not so much when you are looking for your daughters shoe and can not find it anywhere!!!

Our kitten also loves playing with it and climbing through the letter box to be let out the other side (have great photos).

I think this toy is a must in every house its great. It has taught her a lot from how to navigate things inside of the letterbox, to rolling the balls on it, lifting the flags and how to kick the birdie or flick it with her hand. The songs are not bad to listen to either and I am not pulling my hair out after hearing it 100 times in a row.

My son received this for Christmas last year, the RRP on this is stated on here as $79.99 but you would be nuts to pay that! These are on special at K-mart and the Warehouse/Farmers all the time for around $30.00. I marked this at a 5 for price - for $30.00 its an awesome toy, for $80.00 its not. Easy!

Its a sweet wee letterbox that sings and counts when the door opens or flag is activated. It comes with some letters and a parcel to post. My kids enjoy posting parcels and surprises in it and use it at the door of their play tent.

Its a fantastic toy that encourages imaginative play, which is great in today's world where kids at times can be reliant on technology too much - even at a young age with leap pads/DVDs etc.

The toy itself is durable and made of hard plastic and there are no small parts so perfect for small hands and children who like to put items in their mouth! Overall this is a great wee toy and one that lasts through various stages of child's play. My 18 month old and 4 year old play with it equally and we have other children that are around the 8 year old age who still find enjoyment from it.

When buying birthday or Christmas presents i often look at the fisher price range as personally i like their value (in terms of durability, appearance and learning value) however i often dont buy them as they are pretty pricey! However recently ive discovered that The Warehouse (and probably other stores) reduce these in sales quite a lot! I brought this letterbox for $25 and was totally happy to pay that much ~ what a saving!!

I loved the fact that it had lots of songs and included letters. I also liked that the voice/music wasnt overly annoying or have a really bad accent like some toys do!

When given to my 1year old nephew for his birthday he ripped into this and was trying his hardest to get at it right away (one possible downside is how well these are attached to the packaging ~ but then what toys arent these days!).

He was able to open the letterbox door with ease and could post his letters easily. He loved this cause and effect, that he could drop it through the top and it would appear in the mail box. He spent a good 20minutes totally absorbed in this toy. meanwhile others are trying to give him more presents with no attention!

I will definitely be buying in the future and fully recommend to others :)

Laugh and Learn Learning Letters Postbox is recommended for ages 6 months to 3 years, but my 3.5 year old still ADORES it!!

My oldest daughter first played with one of these at the next door neighbours, and begged me to take it home. Luckily the neighbour said we could borrow it - and so followed a fun filled few days! You would think that kids would get tired ot putting letters in and out, or shaking the parcel, or hearing the sounds, but definitely not in our case!!

I opted to buy one of these when our second daughter arrived, and was lucky enough to nab one in a toy sale for a GREAT price. The normal retail is a bit steep, in my honest opinion, however - it is a toy that will last, being made by Fisher-Price.

It's bright and colorful, comes with letters and a parcel to post, has music, and talks, and is very sturdy in construction.

Younger children should be watched with it - not because of little pieces - in that respect there is no problem - but the front of the mail box goes up and down, and the letter flag does too - and fingers, eyes etc could get hurt!

All in all - if you can grab one at a toy sale - they are a bargain - I personally would not pay $79.99 for it though - but a doting grandparent, aunty, or friend might - and you will not be disappointed with the fun the children have!

Laugh and Learn Learning Letters Postbox for ages 6-36 months. When my daughter was 2yrs old she fell in love with this letterbox. Every time we went to the Warehouse or Toyworld she would beg for us to buy it, and before I knew the price I was considering buying it for her, but then when I saw it retailed for $79.99 I just could not in good conscience buy it Sad Icon If it was larger then possibly, but for the size of it and for what it is I was not prepared to spend that amount of money on it.

Yes it is bright and colorful, it plays music, it talks, it comes with letters and a parcel to post in it, it probably does more than most toys out there, but I still couldn't bring myself to spend that amount. The recommended age group is 6-36 months and sadly my lil girl never got it. BUT when she was 5 yrs old and STILL ASKING for it a family member gave her one and she couldn't have been happier. She loved it at age 2, was over the moon when given it at age 5 and yes she still plays with it at age 6yrs, so even tho it is recommended for 3 yrs and under, do not let the price put you off, because apparently kids love it...no matter their age! LOL Icon

In terms of safety, for babies aged under 1, I personally would recommend watching them when they play with it, as at that age they are pulling themselves up etc and it has some bits that stick up and out that could cause some upset to eyes and mouths if fallen on, also watch for jammed fingers when collecting mail and closing the front of the letterbox.

This is a really robust little toy, very durable, and as stated a lot of fun. So for how long it lasts and how much it does, the price is possibly reasonably, but I still personally feel its just a smidgen much for what it is.
