Product reviews...
The soap I was given to try was the organic goats milk and manuka honey. This is beautifully presented in a clear cellophane bag with white curling ribbon to tie it off and attach the product label. I liked the presentation as it felt like you could buy this as a gift.
The price is very reasonable both for a gift and as a soap you'd buy yourself. The soap was cleverly shaped into a white heart with a clear honey coloured bee attached. I thought the detail was really neat.
The label has a list of ingredients on the back. Unlike the lip balm, some of the ingredients sound a bit chemically. I googled the ingredients and found that quite a few are naturally occurring chemicals or safe chemicals that are put into our water, used as part of food prep, etc. This was reassuring.
The bee stuck to the heart came off pretty quickly, but I didn't expect it to last and I was being pretty rough with it. I found the heart shape easy to hold and the soap lathered up beautifully. Afterwards my skin had that sticky waterproof feeling. Like all the grease and grim had been cleansed away. But I didn't feel there was a lot of fragrance to the soap.
Overall the soap worked really well. I liked the look of the package. I liked the feeling of the lather and how clean I was after. I also liked that it softened my leg hairs for shaving. But I just wished for a bit more of a smell.
This soap is beautifully packaged in a cellophane wrapper tied with a curly ribbon and tag. The soap looks just lovely and I instantly thought this would make a lovely gift.
Despite having organic ingredients this also had ingredients like titanium dioxide, sodium hydroxide, sorbitol, and sorbitan oleate listed which immediately had me googling for more information. If I was just looking at this in a shop the use of these ingredients would completely turn me off buying this product. As it was having googled these products I am still not sure that these are good products to have in soap? Ie not organic.
Anyway on to how it is. Well no one in the family liked the smell. I actually had to rewash with my body wash after using this as I really didn't like the smell or how my skin felt. The kids liked how the soap looked but wouldn't wash with it because of the smell.
Whilst I think the presentation of this soap is a 10/10 it is now in our soap dish to be used for handwashing.
