I could not believe my luck when I discovered this product....my two loves in one simple jar....Mustard and Pickles together....heaven!!! Love the taste, and I will add to everything and anything, cheese on crackers, as a salad dressing, on hotdogs, toast, the list is never ending!! I enjoy the tangy blend of the mustard and the chunks of the pickle, the bigger the chucks the happier I am.
My usual brand of piccalli was out of stock and this was on special....so double bonus....I got to try somethign new at a cheaper price....and since that day I have always bought Aristocrat Mustard Pickles as it has became my favourite it is always on special at the supermarket and I like saving money on great products, as most of the time I always buy two jars as I fear what would happen if I ever ran out of my delicious Aristocrat Mustard Pickles
It's a cheap enough price when not on special anyways so if you haven't had the pleasure of tasting Aristocrat Mustard Pickles go out and get some now.....match it up with anything that you enjoy and get ready for taste explosion. You will find yourself buying it all the time too as it is very versatile and seems to enhance the taste of anything you put it with....have a lot or have a little and it is just delicious!!
This pickle is lovely spicy and sweet and chunky goodness....love it on sandwiches with cheese and toasted sandwiches. I also find some good scoops of it in cheese scones before cooking add a yummy taste sensation to a tea time classic.....
the right balance spices and veges for a taste you will return back to....great with tasty cheese
I've always been a fan of chow-chow and piccalli... and enjoy this even as much as both of those, if not more.
It's a good mix of saucy and chunky, and works well on hot fresh toast with lots of melted butter and a slice of nice cheese :)
I don't tend to eat it in many other ways, though I know of those of people who do use it for other things.
I have always been a great fan of relishes of many kinds. Ever since I first tasted Mum's home-made green tomato relish, I was hooked.
My more recent discoveries were a very tasty Sweetcorn Relish and this one, Mustard Pickles. I grabbed it off the shelf by accident, and by the time I had discovered my mistake I was already stuck at work and unable to return it. (Opening the jar sorta voids the returns policy a bit.)
So, give it a whirl... cheese roll, some coleslaw, some sliced ham, a slice of cheese (a nice slice of aged cheddar is a great option, but if all else fails, a cheese single will do) and Munch...
Yum! I was really taken aback by the totally delish flavour... a nice tang, a really pleasant aftertaste, and a nice spicy lasting glow.
Overall, this one has earned a permanent place on the Sauces shelf in my fridge, and a permanent home on the shopping list. Brilliant!
