At Klutz, everything's coming up roses. And daisies. And daffodils and poppies and, well, you get the idea.
Introducing 'Fabulous Flowers', their latest foray into the world of paper crafts. This 60-page book is filled with can't-go-wrong instructions for making paper flowers that are, quite possibly, even prettier than the real thing.
The included custom winding-tool makes it easy to roll and shape paper petals into dimensional, lifesized blossoms inspired by some of our favorite flowers: roses, daisies, daffodils, poppies, even sweet peas. But we didn't stop there. Sparkly embellishments, fresh paper colors, and whimsical design variations give these blooms a twist that's pure Klutz.
As always, we've packaged the book with everything you need to get started: 20 pages of ready-to-punch-out paper petals, sparkly flower centers, wrapped wire stems, glue, and of course, the custom winding tool -- enough stuff to make bunches of flowers. It's not easy to improve on Mother Nature but, with all due modesty, we're pretty sure we've done just that.

How much fun could be had with flowers? Hours and hours it seems, this is a great activity that my girls could work out with out my help, they created some amazing flowers, that impressed me with their professional appearance.
The girls have not only had a wonderful time creating these, they also found many uses for them, putting them on cards, presents, and to decorate their rooms. Its the creative activity that fosters more creative activities!
The colours are bright and appealing, and the activity itself would appeal from preschool age (with parents assisting) through to teenagers, really great when you have a variety of ages in one household.
I would recommend this as excellent value for money, and a great investment in fun!
Tonight I sat down with an excited Miss 4.5 to check this out. It is, without a doubt, a total hit with her!
Considering her age I helped her with pressing out the flower pieces and some of the slightly more fiddly bits. She had fun choosing the flower, colours etc. She also did all the glue applications while I did the actual gluing together. She then did the majority of the assembling of the flower. The end result is a VERY proud little girl excited about her first flower creation. We have now agreed to go op-shopping for her own vase to keep all her flower creations in as we make them together.
From my point of view this provided an excellent Mummy/Daughter time and a chance to get creative. The instructions are clear and easy to follow with clear pictures. I could see that older children would have no issues following them at all. I was also happy that the end result even looked like the picture. You... errrr, I mean the kids, don't have to have master skills to create something that looks awesome.
Judging by daughters proud sense of accomplishment, this is well worth the money. Now the only thing I have to consider is if Miss 4.5 would notice if I made some flowers without her! Yes, even as an adult this book is fun!
The last word though has to go to Miss 4.5....
COOL!
I sat down with my three daughters and they each picked out a different flower to make. Miss 9 wanted to make the poppy, she found it very easy to press out the pieces needed to make the flower.
We lay out every we needed and followed the instructions which were really easy to understand and well illustrated.
So the fun began, and within 10 minutes a wonderful poppy was created. She found winding the locking roll a bit difficult but with a little help from mum we did it.
Miss 6 and miss 4 found it a lot more difficult but were happy to point out the petal colours they wanted and what flowers they wanted me to make them. Once I had made up the flowers they both managed to help thread all the pieces onto the wire steam on their own which was really easy for them to do.
I personally found fabulous flowers a wonderful craft book with easy to follow instructions , it would make an excellent gift for any flower lover, or even for your own personal craft box.
My three girls are looking forward to making some more flowers to add to their vase, and the good thing is these flowers will last a long time and still look good.

This winning picture book comes with a shiny plastic gold medal, perfect for children to enact their very own medal ceremonies. Toby the tiger can't wait for Sports Day - he's going to have lots of fun playing games and running races. Best of all, Miss Meadow has a whole table of gold medals to give out. But when Toby doesn't win any races, how will he get a gold medal? Luckily, it's the taking part that counts and Toby goes home proudly with his new gold medal.
