I have a 7 year old child who is currently into Places of the World, and when I got him this book his eyes lit up like a spotlight. He has already been asking me things about places overseas, and with the help of Google and Wikipedia I have been able to answer most of his questions, but I have always found it best to be able to find the answers out yourself by looking in a book and also by seeing the places through the pictures that generally always accompany a book like that. Since receiving this book he has since been wandering around quoting me facts and figures from the book. A book like this is a great learning and reference tool for children of all ages, and I highly recommend it, in fact I will be looking out for other books in the 'Cultures of the World' series.
