Following the deadly climax of 'Green Street Hooligans', several members of the West Ham firm and numerous members of Millwall end up in jail. The GSE discover a different kind of brutality on the inside, where the better financed Millwall crew colludes with the prison guards to make life unbearable for our boys.
Of course football is followed fervently by the prisoners - both the outside matches and inside prison games. Wins and losses are quickly followed by punishment or reward - from a ruck the guards turn blind eye towards, to an extra day of visitation - all of it inspiring extreme behaviour.
When overcrowding compels the early release of a fortunate few, fate brings West Ham and Millwall together again - this time in a fight disguised as a football game. The stakes are the highest they have ever been for all concerned, with death or freedom quite literally a goal away. Game on.

I saw Green Street Hooligans (the original) a few months back and found it very enjoyable with a good story line, so when the opportunity arose to see Green Street Hooligans 2, I was happy to take it.
Set in a prison, the film starts off with three guys that were members of the original Green Street Hooligans, who now find themselves in jail. Despite the fact that they try to mind their own business in there, they seem to find trouble wherever they go. This leads to a whole heap of gruesome fight scenes (and I mean gruesome, lots of blood splattering, broken bones, acid in the face action). There really isn't much of a plot to this movie, give or take a few side plots about corrupt prison guards and shady underground deals. The prison brutality seems to take over the entire movie and not leave a lot of room for much else. The storyline suggests the movie tends towards football, but there is actually very little football in this movie.
I was disappointed with this movie, as I held high expectations after the superb original. It fell flat unfortunately.
Without giving anything away-if anything, the end of the movie was definitely the highlight - this is where the plot actually gets interesting. So make sure you stay tuned till the end!
