Product reviews...
The first episode, Revving Up, was the coolest episode on this DVD because it gave me some info about how an engine works. I was a little disappointed when I found out the episode didn't show all the parts of an engine, but it's reasonable. I enjoyed when the class got the bus working again, and just in time to stop the VMI's wish of having it crushed coming true. I thought that the coolest thing that happened was when the class shrunk, both when they needed to fit inside the plane and when they needed to fix the bus's engine.
I enjoyed episode two, Taking Flight, because it taught me how a plane moves through the air. The cool thing that happened in that episode was when the class began flying because I've always wanted to be in a plane and watching them do it just made me want to do it even more. I got a bit worried when Tim accidentally broke the remote that kept the plane that the class flew in flying straight. My favourite parts were when the class found out how to keep the plane staying in the air and moving how they wanted it to. This DVD is something you'll all enjoy.
When the Vehicle Maintenence Inspector comes to inspect the Magic School Bus, all he wants to do is condemn it. Ms. Frizzle and the class take the VMI on a test drive, the class get shrunk in size and they go exploring to find out how the motor works. They find peanut butter in the engine which is blocking the gas flow. After many twists and turns and bus transformations the VMI apologises to the class and Ms. Frizzle and passes the bus on its inspection.
Taking Flight: Wanda wants to know how things fly, so hence another class field trip. The class is shrunk to fit in a model aeroplane. But when the remote gets broken accidentally the class gets to learn first hand how planes fly. They also end up in the model aeroplane competition too! Liz manages to turn the Magic School Bus into a search and rescue plane and saves the day. This is a neat way to get kids interested in mechanics and aviation. And is an awesome addition to the Magic School Bus series.
