At first glance this looks like a variation of the standard squeeze mop, but don't let that similarity fool you, this is nothing like you average run of the mill squeeze mop, in fact this is the mop of all mops.
While most squeeze mops will soak up your general spills in some cases it takes a while for the rock hard dry sponge to start to soak up the liquid, also it doesn't seem to take a lot for the sponge to reach capacity, however the super mop pro will soak up alot more liquids before it reaches capacity and dot it faster. It also seems to be alot easier to squeeze out than your conventional squeeze mops.
This is a mop I am glad to have and will make great use of it until it wears out.
Like Stanley Spadowski, I love my mop. This mop wasn't given to me by my mother, but it sure works as hard and as well as she did. With babysitting the little ones who come to stay on weekends, bathtime can be a nightmare, especially when the carpet from the hall is less than 3 feet from the edge of the bath. This makes for some scary moments when the toddlers start to play "just how much water can we empty onto the floor before the adults catch us?"
The answer used to be "all too bl**dy much" but thanks to this beauty, it is now "not enough to cause me stress." This things sucks up water like a dehydrating squid in the middle of the Sahara and once it has drunk its fill, a gentle pull of the handle will squeeze it all right back out again. For safety sake though, not back into the bath while the kids are still in it, eh.
Something that did become apparent pretty quickly though, was that this mop should NOT be played with when it is dry, as the blue mop sponge turns rock solid when it has no moisture in it. This takes all of about 20 minutes at room temp, but can be as quickly as under 5 minutes if you pop it outside for some sunshine. Attempting to pull the handle when it is dry will most likely cause it to snap right off. At the very least, it will cause a lot of tension in the head, and in the case of one overly keen kid wanting to help out, cause the metal shaft to buckle.
All in all, it's a bit like the family dog, treat it right and it will behave itself, keep the mess outside the house, and basically cause you no stress. Treat it badly and it will turn on you in a heartbeat.
