Product reviews...
I have quite a few l.e.d. lights similar to these around the house. Most of them were bought from so-called 'dollar shops' for around the same price and I have to say the quality of these ones is superior enough to lead the pack.
My only gripe with them is that the clear done is locked to the base and not the pressdown rim. This makes it a little less comfortable to activate.
Other than that I think these are great. They are certainly bright enough when the batteries are at full strength.
I have used a number of LED-based lighting systems across the spectrum, from the '$2 Shop' models right up to the '$30 each' units from the fancy lighting shops. Taking into account that these units are $5 each, they sit mid-low in the scale.
I must say, they certainly are bright enough... I damn near blinded myself by accidentally turning it on while I was placing it on the wall. However, I did find that the mounting bracket's hooks weren't that secure... a little flimsy... because when I dropped one, two of the hooks snapped off. Thankfully, Captain Superglue saved the day.
Overall... this is an excellent option to consider if you need discrete lighting, especially if it has limited space to fit into, such as the inside of a cupboard, or in my case, the underside of my workdesk so that I can see what cables go where and what powerplugs run which devices.
These are a great idea, throw in some quality 'AAA' batteries, peel the cover off the adhesive backing and stick it in a dark area you want better lit, it's as simple as that.
These are very bright indeed as they are using the super-bright LED technology that is becoming more common in car brake lights.
These are a great buy and well worth the cost.
