This is a beautifully told story. It is very short and simplistic. Definitely a great read for toddlers or young children between 4 and 7 to learn to read.

The illustrations are also realistic and appealing to youngsters. They are big and bright and also simple. Nothing too dramatic that pulls the pictures away from the story. I would describe the illustrations to be drawn using sketch art.

This is a great storyline about helping and sharing. Great for those who have just welcomed a new sibling in to the family.

The book itself is a hardcover which is great for durability in young hands.

Product reviews for listing 8843: Flit the Fantail and the Matariki Map -  Written by Kat Quin

Product image for Flit the Fantail and the Matariki MapJoin Flit and his friends, Keri the kiwi and wise old Ruru, as they explore the night skies to work out how to capture a sparkling star.

When the friends get lost deep in the dark forest, they follow the twinkling clues in the sky to find their way back home.

A heart-warming story about problem-solving which will appeal to all New Zealand children.
