Hustle Series 4 ups the stakes!
Mickey has taken off to Australia to help out a friend in need of his expertise, so the rest of the gang take a side-trip to go after the fat cats of Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
Adding to the already outstanding cast, award-winning actor Ashley Walters joins the team as aspiring long con artist Billy Bond.
Product reviews...
This series is definitely a twist out of the past tracks... for two reasons:
Firstly, Micky Bricks has taken off to Australia to help out a mate on a major con... and only makes an 'implied' appearance, in the manner of two phonecalls in the entire series.
Secondly, with Danny Blue in charge, the team slope off to the Yoonited Staytes ahv God-Bless-Ahmerica... to do their dodgy voodoo on some seriously uncouth yanks.
Despite the missing keystone of Micky, and the somewhat arrogant bouyancy of Danny Blue being in charge, the series was indeed one of my favourites. It was great seeing the crew take a different direction while still sticking to their code of "You can't con a genuinely honest person" and yet... they managed to get a taste of their own medicine. I'll leave it to you to find out what that means.
Overall, one of the best series yet... and I look forward to seeing Series 5!
