Its been a few years since my nieces have been in a cot but this cot mattress protector is a fabulous product!! I remember it being absolutely waterproof which was great because when they are in cloth nappies that aren't 100% waterproof this cover would catch any runoff.

With the fitted elastic this cover fitted easily around my mattress and even had room to fit a larger mattress if need be and my cot mattress was in the larger side which was good because I didn't have to struggle when I made up the bed. It also coped well with near on daily washes and it would dry super quick too which was perfect because if it got wet during a daily nap it would be dried and ready to go by night time sleep. Dried well on the line or in the drier and it didn't seem to shrink which is great!

The quilted top and the teddy bear embossing made the protector visually appealing and my nieces liked it because of the teddy bears. It's thick quilted material offered comfort and kept them warm in winter and allowed their bed to still breathe in summer which kept them cool and allowed them to sleep comfortably.

I couldn't believe the price when I bought it, I thought cheap and nasty as there were other ones that were triple the cost but I thought it would only be used every other week etc but this mattress protector proved me wrong it was a great investment at a bargain price and has served me through babysitting duties with my friends children as well and is still looking brand new. I am so happy with this cot protector it is a great product!

This cot protector is brilliant. It is soft and thick but extremely waterproof. It can be used on a single bed as well. My wee girl has certainly put it to the test with a vomiting bug and no spills at all. I have also washed it twice in the machine and it came out good as new. Highly recommend it.

This was a great option for my brother to trial with his 2yr old niece, who still does the occasional bedwetting. Though this is mainly aimed at babys cots it also proved itself quite effective when tethered in place on a normal kids bed mattress. Absorbent and comfortable, she hardly knew it was there and she said she felt safer going to bed now as there was her "own special magic carpet hiding under the sheets to help keep the wet away from the bed."
The teddt bear pattern embossed on it was appealing and helped make her comfortable with the idea of it and she said she loved running her fingers over the bed and feeling the "teddy soldiers" ready to fight back the "wet bugs". (Kids come up with the cutest things, dont they.)
I took the chance to help out and did the washing of this for them. Easy to wash, I just gave it a quick rinse under the cold tap to 'soften' it up and tossed it into a regular wash with a bit of NappySan pink. Breaking the rules a bit, I use a cold wash (because I am doing my bit to save power) and saw no harmful results. The slight yellow stain was gone and there was no odour present. I hung it out on the line and it dried just fine, even with the occassional patch of sunlight that managed to show its way through the overcast sky.
At this price you will be very hard pressed to find anything as effective and kid-friendly. It would be great for babies too, if you sleep them in regular cloth nappies so make sure you check this option out before you rush out and buy anything.
