Hells Pizza's level 2 of 4 in spice rating they told me, level 4 must be like licking Satan's hot coals! It really had a tang to it, and unfortunately it smothered all the other flavours. A novel idea to have different grades to a pizza... makes you feel you're not just getting the run of the mill regular.

I had to laugh at the olives though, one olive on each slice. Kinda like a scoop of chips with sauce on 1 chip, ya just can't quite see what it does for the rest of the pizza.

Dont think I'll be trying this one again.

Not wanting to melt tastebuds, we ordered spicy level 2, with 4 levels, it was thought this would be fairly mild...

Thermite has NOTHING on this!

Unfortunately, we discovered the pizza has enough 'heat' with just it's ingredients, without adding anything extra on top... so if you are asked "What level spice would you like?" I STRONGLY suggest you aim for the mildest level, 1, that they have. At level 2, the spice burnt out the tastebuds so fast, we could hardly taste anything at all. Magma on a pizza crust, decorated with a single whole olive per slice.

The whole olive actually stirred up quite a conversation... do other pizzas have about the same amount, when sliced and scattered, or more, or less? What are the pro's and con's of whole olives over sliced? Were these 'real' black olives, or the usual green olives dyed black, as you would buy in a supermarket? etc...

In the end, for me, it came down to "I think you get about the same, but whole is great because it makes it SO easy to pick off and give to someone else." All other flavour questions were utterly pointless, because I simply couldn't taste a thing... and I suspect it killed the subtle flavours of the 'Brimstone' that followed.

Overall... not sure... might have to try this one again with less 'fire'... but it seems to show some potential just from the ingredient list alone.

This pizza has a good combination of flavours. Unfortunately, the more subtle flavour of the chicken did tend to get a little swamped by the herbs and chilli. The whole olives on the edge of each slice made for a more appealing appearance, and also easier to remove for those that don't like them.

The four levels of spicyness available to pizza purchasers is a good idea. My friends and I chose level 2 of 4, this gave the pizza zing without blistering the tongue. The cajun spices were a nice touch but may send the spicyness rating, for those who are not used to it, through the roof.

Overall, a tasty treat I would be happy to get again. Next time I may try another spicy level to see if there is noticable difference.
