We don't get garlic bread a lot as my daughter is dairy free but Hell Pizza has a dairy free option. I was a bit hesitant at first when my daughter had asked for it as not a lot of dairy free options match the dairy option but we decided to give it a go.
As it is cooked twice ensure you place you order with the rest of your order. First time ordering I made this mistake and added it on. It didn't take too much longer than the rest of our order. Also don't forget to request the dairy free if that's what you want, otherwise you may end up with the delicious dairy version.
On opening there were 4 pieces, enough for one each. Although one was not enough with everyone wanting more. The bread was perfectly cooked and had a great herb and garlic flavour. There was a good amount of the butter on the bread and was an average sized loaf.
We really enjoyed the garlic bread although we definitely need to get at least two loaves. We also love the fact that they have a dairy free option. For $3.50 I don't think it's too badly priced for a fast food option. I would definitely recommend that you try some the next time you visit Hell Pizza.
Garlic bread is one of those comfort foods that you just can't turn down lovely soft white bread with a crispy golden crust on the outside, topped with lashings of hot, melted garlicky butter and if your lucky it even comes topped with melted cheese to make it even more amazing.
In my life I have tried so many different garlic breads, some good and some bad, and some that come in many different shapes and form, no 2 garlic breads are ever the same! One of the best garlic breads I have ever had was at a restaurant in the middle of Hamilton that used to serve up fresh baked dinner rolls with a small bowl of hot, melted garlic butter in which you dunk your bread into this was always delicious and I have recreated this way of serving garlic bread many a times at home ever since. However the more traditional way of receiving garlic bread is that of a roll of bread sliced and filled with a melted garlic butter before being wrapped in tin foil to keep it hot, but also to keep the garlic butter from dripping out.
When it comes to buying garlic bread from a takeaway joint it can be a bit hit and miss with what you are getting, so yesterday when we went to Hell's pizza to get Mother's day lunch we weren't sure what to expect when we ordered some garlic bread, though we rest assured that it would probably be amazing as there pizza's always are.
The first thing I noticed as we received our order was that the garlic bread seemed quite full, and straight away thought we should have ordered 2, oh well it was to late for that. The garlic bread was cut into 4 pieces, so we cut the biggest piece into 2 to feed the 5 of us, it was hot and fresh and was smothered in a very yummy herb and garlic butter with flavour that you could really see with it being such a generous amount, and this was by far one of the best garlic breads that I have yet to taste, everybody agreed it was really really good
If you go to Hell be sure to try the garlic bread, but perhaps buy 2, it really is worth the $3.50 you pay for it, and it isn't going to leave you disappointed!
I have to say I'm quite a fan of garlic breads, and Hell Pizza's attempt doesn't dissapoint.
Usually I find with garlic breads the slices are too thin and the garlic butter makes them all greasy but with the size of slices with these, puts the bread back into the equation. The only problem though is you need to get at least 2 of them.
Taste-wise they are very good, buttery creamy texture that actually tastes like garlic not some sour imitation.
All up, a must have when ordering pizza at Hell's - but get 2.
Pretty good for a garlic bread. Not the best I have eaten but certainly a much better offering than some other fast-food chains offer. Worth trying at least once so you can make up your own mind and the price makes it a cheap gamble.
No larger or smaller than your average loaf of garlic bread, the herb and garlic butter filling is by far the most impressively delicious I have come across in a very long time. I could have easily wolfed down an entire serving on my own! Alas, I only managed to get a single piece, and even that almost cost me a finger!
Honestly, there isn't a lot I can say about it beyond 'If you want to know what a good garlic bread SHOULD taste like, try one of these devilish delights.
Overall, hellishly good.

Every Kiwi knows that a bacon and egg pie should have plenty of bacon, a good helping of egg, some onion and a few herbs and spices. The more bacon, the better... so this is a REALLY 'better' pie.
