Product reviews...
So I took the helmet out of the box, and after a bit of umm-ing and ahh-ing I had figured out how the back piece and two side pieces went on (I'm a male I don't read manuals!) After a bit of adjustment so it would fit on the head (my 7 year olds of course ) and away we went, first off he had loads of fun running around constantly pressing the Movie Battle Phrases and the Transform Sound buttons.
After about an hour or so of that he got bored and pressed the 3rd button which of course is the voice conversion button. He started running around saying the same phrases as could be heard by pressing the Battle Phrases button, as well as making his own up and just generally having a great time.
At times it was hard to understand what he was saying, but I soon figured out that it all depended on if the microphone inside the helmet was directly in front of the mouth or slightly above or below. If it was directly in front of the mouth you did sometimes tend to get a bit of distortion. It also distorted a bit when he was yelling, but this seemed to be mainly due to the fact that the output from the helmet is slightly amplified (so as to be heard over the wearers voice I suspect) and so adding a yelling child leads to some distortion, but once I got him to stop the yelling all was good once more.
This is a fun toy for the kids, just remember the warning listed above that This is NOT a protective device (my son wanted to wear his whilst riding his scooter) and all will be good.
