I used to watch this on TV and after a long day it was often hard not to fall asleep and miss the story. I like the odd ghost story and enjoy trying to find out what happened to the ghost and how they died and why they died as it would be a very boring story if they died of old age.

The story was easy to follow and the last episode was sad and a bit unexpected. I personally don't believe in ghosts and being able to see them but I have had some personal similar experiences so can't discount it altogether and I suppose that is what made this such a good series to watch.

The special effects were great and it didn't look like of a set, the ghosts looked realistic (not that I know what a ghost should look like) and didn't look like a horror set.

I mostly enjoyed the stories of the various ghosts and how the friends and family wouldn't just accept Melinda saying that she could see and hear and speak to their loved ones and how she would get them to understand what happened and come to peace with it. I think it was great that her friends didn't think she was a complete nut case for saying that she could see the dead.

I have to see this again but not at night as I would fall asleep and miss a lot of the story. I know a lot of people don't like this type of series as they don't believe in the after life but sometimes you have to just watch and enjoy the story and put beliefs about life and death aside.

When this series first played on TV, I missed several episodes, which rather annoyed me as I LOVE this programme!! So I was absolutely delighted to get my hands on the full Series One DVD collection, and settled in to have a major Ghost Whisperer marathon. Once more I was fully drawn in to each episode, unwilling to even pause the dvd unless I really needed to.
With each episode, you're led through a tale filled with suspense and drama that is often quite moving, as Melinda Gordon sets about doing what she can to help put things right between earthbound spirits and their loved ones.
Now although I'm not much of a "Jennifer Love Hewitt" fan, I thoroughly enjoyed her performance in Ghost Whisperer, as she seemed to have lost her usual "ditzy" air that I've noticed with most of her characters.
This is a series I can easily watch over and over again, and whether you're one for ghostly stories, or tales filled with drama and suspense, Ghost Whisperer is well worth giving a try, Jennifer Love Hewitt fan or not.
