This book is really interesting. Lots of people in my class wanted to read it, most of them wanted to buy it too. My teacher even wanted a copy of this book for herself.
My favourite bits were: Art, dance, music, sports, games and toys.
There is plenty of interesting stuff to learn from this book.
This book provides the reader with one thousands facts, covering all facets about ancient Egyptian life from the humble beginnings of an empire and civilisation right through to archeologist uncovering and piecing together the past of this fascinating era.
The book is conveniently divided into sections, and further subdivided from there into very informative pages covering nearly every aspect of life. Each page contains a number of facts, and some pages have boxes that contain extra Fascinating facts that both entertain and inform.
Such a book in this layout does not require consistent reading, but does allow the reader to dip in and out of the book as and when the whim strikes one.
I have no doubts that all but the ardent Egyptologist will find plenty to entertain, inform and amuse. This book is clearly presented, well written and very well illustrated with colour drawings and in some places, photographs. Clearly this book is aimed at children, but there is plenty of information to prevent any adult from getting bored. This is in no doubt a mini reference book.
