Now this one, on the other hand, is a definite improvement over the previous model. A sleeker, smoother body with a retractable plug make for a tidier package that can be worn inside the shirt of even the hairiest male.

The Write-Protect switch is far more discreet, but a little harder to move. Fingernails are a must, or awkward moments of searching for a suitable tool are to be expected.

But, once again, the design durability is an issue. This time, it took a drop of nearly 20cm to crack the case, but when it did, it split almost the entire length. The guts actually came free of the casing and spilled loose, but since it was designed to slide in and out, it was a relatively simple matter to reinsert it all smoothly. A touch of superglue solved the problem this time.

Overall, a much nicer unit, far more comfortable to wear around the neck. An improvement to be sure, but still has something lacking that I have seen in other competing units... sturdiness.
