Chronicles of Stone: #1 Scorched Bone product reviews

SET IN AN ANCIENT TIME, WHEN HUMANS WERE FEW AND SURVIVAL REQUIRED A FIGHTING SPIRIT.

It is a time of drought for the People of the Canyons. Plant foods have been exhausted and small game has disappeared from their hunting grounds. Trei convinces his father to gather a few hunters and attempt a bison hunt, a risky undertaking with their simple wooden spears.

When the hunt ends in tragedy, Trei and his twin sister Souk secretly determine to travel north. A traveller has talked of a tribe who can throw a spear like a lightning bolt and bring down mammoth and bison. Trei and Souk must first escape their people, then begin the perilous journey north.

But it is said that no one ever returns from the territory of the Manhunters.

Scorched Bone is about twins named Trei and Souk who start on a dangerous journey to reach a tribe that can throw a spear like a bolt of lightning, but it's not as easy as it looks. What I liked the most about the book was that it taught me what the stone age was like and what cavemen used to survive. What I didn't like about the book was that it was kind of harsh because of all the killing parts. It wasn't my kind of thing at the beginning, but I slowly began to enjoy it. I had lots of fun reading Scorched Bone, it was so cool that I couldn't wait to read book two. The cover's design looked very realistic. Scorched Bone is a great book for all those who are interested in the stone age.
