Our Infinite Fates product reviews

They've loved each other in a thousand lifetimes. They've killed each other in every one.

Evelyn remembers all her past lives. She also remembers that in every single one, she's been murdered before her eighteenth birthday by Arden, a supernatural being whose soul - and survival - is tethered to hers.

The problem is that she's quite fond of the life she's in now, and her little sister needs her for bone marrow transplants in order to stay alive. If Evelyn wants to save her sister, she'll have to:
1. Find the centuries-old devil who hunts her through each life-before they find her first.
2. Figure out why she's being hunted and finally break their curse.
3. Try not to fall in love.

I'm not usually a romance fan, but I like the idea of reincarnation and this book follows Evelyn as she lives, and dies, in multiple lifetimes. Most of the book takes place in the present day, as Evelyn finds out that she is a donor match for her sister who has cancer. The only problem is that she's about to turn 18 and she has been fated to die before her 18th birthday, for more lives that she can remember. Arden, is her other half, but love is complicated when either you will be killed or have to kill your own soulmate, knowing that you will die with them. What I liked about this aspect is that things aren't lovey, dovey each time they meet, it really does differ on who they are in their current life.

The book alternates between present day, as Evelyn fights to complete a bone marrow transplant for her sister, and various lives that she has lived (which range in both country and genders). A good spanner in the works is that whilst Evelyn is slowly loosing her memories of previous lives, Arden remembers them all and even knows exactly why they are fated to die over and over again. I had to feel sorry for them, as they get to live their lives in normality but when they hit eight years of age they begin to remember their past lives and what is coming (imagine being eight and knowing you only have ten years left to live...). The ending was definitely not what I had anticipated but I felt it worked well enough and the ending was perfect.
