My 16 year old and I enjoy playing on the PlayStation together and whilst we thoroughly enjoy playing through most of the Lego games, we were on the hunt for something a little new and this game was recommended by a few people when I reached out for ideas. This game is truly co-op in the fact that you cannot play solo, if you do not have a second player you simply can't play this game. You play one half of a squabbling couple on the brink of separation, whose daughter has unknowingly turned you into a doll, until you can work things out (there is an annoying living love guru book, but we eventually learned that you could skip his parts).

In this game, you really must work together to complete the many stages, in fact, there are so many moments where there is absolutely zero percent chance of moving forward if you don't work together. Each parent has their own unique ability, which also changes depending on what section you are in - at one point you can shoot sap and make it explode, another you sing and shout sing to affect doors and toggles and in another you can shrink or become giant. The puzzles were just the right balance of difficulty and frustration, you really do have to communicate with each other with your timing and really pay attention to what is happening on their half of the screen or you send them to their fatal end. There are mini games to find along the way, as well as some fun things just to explore, so you can really take your time exploring (until you reach a boss level because we know they never give you a moment to breathe).

In the end, we really enjoyed this and I think it is easy to say that should they bring out a sequel, I will be getting it pronto.
